This pretty much. If I would have been able to use XBone as a regular DVR, I'd have jumped on it.

Sessler's review is pretty in-depth and I'd say spot-on. Doesn't trash the system, but doesn't praise it either. Basically just says "If you like X thing, this is for you. If not, GTFO".

IGN is showing game play footage of Ryse and the game looks beautiful but holy crap is it boring to watch. I dunno if they are playing on easy or something but the enemies are just like, standing around waiting for you to beat the shit out of them.

If there are button prompts, it's either easy or normal mode. Hard mode expects you to know the prompts.

No button prompts but the enemies fast the color of the button you are suppose to hit.

Party like it’s … – Watch nine movies from 1999 (I remember those days…)
KJ RULEZ! – Watch five movies featuring Kevin James
Fearless – Watch 10 horror movies
Couch Party – Watch a movie with four of your friends logged in
Blackjack! – Watch any 21 movies (they don’t have to be set at a casino, but that might be fun)

We also have a couple of Achievements that are a bit more difficult to unlock (just to keep things interesting), and we’ll be adding more as time goes on.

Pre-release users who were banned are now unbanned

Remember that guy who was banned from Xbox Live after Target shipped his Xbox One pre-order early? As promised at the time, the user’s ban has been lifted, giving him a slight head start on those of you planning to wait in line for the midnight launch. He told Kotaku he’ll be streaming, if you want in on this preview.

It sorta reminds me of Gauntlet Dark Legacy. Where you hack and slash over and over. It is fun at first but gets old fast.
