Now, before anyone thinks it means they are doing just as well as Sony, thats worldwide launch. Ps4 has only come out in Canada and US.

At the very least i want to sell the day one controller and achievement. Code is going for like $50+ and controller around $100 so if I can sell both for $150ish would bring the cost down. Minus having to get another controller.

Well.... MS numbers are pretty good. Just keep in mind Xbone launched worldwide and PS4 has only launched in NA. I agree with the fact that they both need good competition, though.

One of our regulars came into the store and his wife sarcastically thanked us for letting him buy the Xbox since all she hears now is "Xbox (command)." I told her to run in and just yell, "XBOX OFF!" Then he came over and started telling me about his first online experience. "I was playing this guy and I said, 'He's really good. He's kicking my butt.' and all I hear is laughing coming from the TV. I said, 'Can you hear me?' and the guy responded, 'Yes. LAWL!' I guess it's always on." I just laughed.

It's a decent showing, but like someone already mentioned, MS launched in 13 regions to 1m sales, and Sony launched solely in North America to over 1m sales. When the numbers come in on Friday (EU PS4 launch) I daresay it's all going to be horribly skewed in Sony's favor.

Though really the overall numbers only matter so much until they've both got excess stock on the shelves, because right now we're just seeing them both sell through everything they assembled.

Not even 24 hours after the North American launch of the Xbox One Microsoft sent a press release stating that “Xbox One is now sold out at most retailers,” but that statement must not have included Toys”R”Us or Best Buy.

Just a walk across Times Square from the location of one of the console’s big launch events to the local Toys”R”Us store, which happens to be the biggest store of the retail chain in the world, and also a very well known shopping outlet, would have confirmed that there are still plenty Xboxes to be had, as discovered by our valiant reporter Al Zamora, that went on reconnaissance today.

Talking with a store employee at the Time Square Toys”R”Us store we a learned that they have “easily a few hundred” units left. You can check a couple pictures below.

But we discovered something even more surprising by walking two avenues further, to the Midtown Manhattan Best Buy store in 5th avenue. There we were told that there are still “a lot” of units left for sale. This doesn’t mean that the Xbox Didn’t sell well, though, as the store was allocated 1500 units, and they have more stored in a truck.

The surprising part? When Al walked to the gaming aisle he was greeted by the sight of several rows of the sleek black-boxed Day One edition Xbox One units, as you can see below.

Xbox One owners disappointed they can’t use their Turtle Beach Xbox 360 headsets can upgrade free of charge via a limited time deal.

Unfortunately the offer is not immediately effective; eligible users will be sent an adapter when they become available sometime after March 1, 2014.

The offer is good through January 30 2014, and applies to models XP400, XP510, XP Seven and X42.
