I don't suppose there's any mention of them doing something about how using the HDMI in only offers stereo and not surround? That's honestly the #1 thing keeping this from being in my living room.
Future update.http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-o...nd-not-working
Something like that?
Cool, good to know, thanks
Everyone seems to want backwards emulation. There's absolutely no way for Xboner to ever play 360 games, right? No app, no code, no nothing. Or am I wrong? Is there a way that a Blu-Ray reader can read HDD discs? People keep getting this disc shipped inside their Ones labeled 360 Test Discs from June 2010.
There's no way, you're correct.

With the next Xbox One update scheduled to come out this week, Marc Whitten has posted details about what to expect in our March update, including details around the imporvements we’re making to Xbox One multiplayer and parties:
Get to your friends list faster. The friends list will be front and center on the homepage of the Friends app. Click the Social tile on Home, or say “Xbox, go to Friends” to see who’s online and what they’re up to. From there you can quickly send messages and get into a party.
Party chat will be turned on by default. When you party up, chat audio will be turned on by default.
Chat with friends playing different games. Party chat will be separated from people playing your game, so you can chat with your friends who are online or you can chat with everyone playing the game.
We’re adding an “Invite friends to game” option to your multiplayer titles moving forward. Similar to Xbox 360 titles, this will appear inside a games’ menu and offer a simple and quicker way to set up your multiplayer battles. Selecting “Invite friends” will let you invite friends to your game and party.
We’re adding “Recent Players.” This is a simple list that shows you Xbox Live members you’ve recently played with, making it easier to stay in touch with people, or add new friends after your multiplayer battles.
The recent player thing has been in the xbox and xbox 360 since forever no? wtfuxMS
All of those features are old and nobody knows why the fuck they removed them. I'm glad they're not being stubborn and are actually fixing their shit though.
XBone, the Early Access of Consoles. LOL
Thanks for all of the shit that should've been there since day one MS. Greatest update evah.
at least they're fixing shit?
My xbone is starting to do that freeze shit where I have to unplug it from the power source to get it reading discs again :/

Titanfall could be key to the Xbox One's continued success, and Microsoft is well aware. That's why the company is ironing out the Xbox One's kinks ahead of the game's March 11th release date. You might have heard that Microsoft will make some multiplayer tweaks and add a new headset adapter, but the changes go far deeper than that: Microsoft will also update the Xbox One controller specifically at the request of Titanfall's development team. According to Titanfall design lead Justin Hendry, an upcoming software patch will make the analog sticks more precise than before.
"It's just fixing the controller input, really," he tells The Verge, adding that the team worked with Microsoft on the solution. "It wasn't really where we felt it should be; it was a little overly twitchy with the current controls. Now it's fixed. We're happy with it."
"NOW IT'S FIXED. WE'RE HAPPY WITH IT."
Given that Microsoft spent a reported $100 million developing the new Xbox One controller, it's not surprising that the company would pay a little more to get the sticks just right, particularly if — as Hendry suggested to us — the benefits won't be limited to this particular game.
Respawn Entertainment also says it's working with Microsoft on a new version of the console's upscaler — presumably to convert games rendered at sub-1080p resolutions up to the full HDTV standard — but it was unclear whether that upscaler will only apply to Titanfall or work with all Xbox One games.
Titanfall begins a closed beta test this Friday, and you can sign up right here. You can also read our full preview of the game.
fixing the upscaler is great, it looks like shit now, crushed blacks and overly sharpened
