The Xbox Games Pass (aka their Netflix equivalent) is now live for Gold members; everyone else can buy it starting June 1st. There does appear to be a pretty robust selection of 360 games, but XB1 games appear to be lacking. The most interesting thing to note is that the games do not require to always be connected to the Internet to play, and there is no limit to how many games you can download per month--if you've got enough HDD space, you can get them all.

$499 is a goddamn steal for the amount of tech packed into that thing. Its a 4K-ready PC on many fronts, sitting at a price that's still less than the tripe sony tried to pull in the last console war. I've never owned an Xbox of any kind, but that's a goddamn tempting piece of machinery if they can get the games I'm interested in behind it.

I question whether XOX can do 4K at 'high/ultra' presets on PC games though while maintaining a steady 30fps though without cheating with dynamic resolution or other compromises. Vanilla PS4/Xbone already have troubles doing that with a mix of medium/high settings and trying to maintain 1080p. This isn't that huge a jump in specs.

The other issue is the naming convention is just bad for uninformed consumers. Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X. It's probably why Sony just simply called their higher-end model the Pro, makes it obvious it had something more than the non-Pro version.

Admittedly the thing is crazy powerful tech, still doesn't have any games I want so kind of pointless. Also I have a fairly decent PC. Also lol at them "All your current Xbone accessories will work with it!" ...Was that ever even a question?
