I get the hate for kinect, but we all understand that using the TV features is a choice, right? Some people want to keep an eye on their friends list while watching TV, or maybe pass some time while waiting for someone to get on/start a game. They're not making you plug your cable box into xbox; they're simply giving you the ability to do so if you wish. Will it be useful? I'm not sure, but to me it'll be about as useful as turning on a PS4 just to spectate/watch your friend play a game.

Yes, obviously because certain people choose to not do certain things it clearly justifies Microsoft being absolute cockbags.

There is no possible way you can legitimately defend those business practices as being better for the consumer.

Supporting a middleman like GameStop, as opposed to the creators, is ultimately bad for consumers. Sure you save a few bucks, but in the long run, it leads to fewer new IPs and more rehashes of proven entities, or worse, they shift their focus to mobile gaming & apps for a better ROI.

I also don't play consoles anywhere but my house, so having it connected to the net is not an issue.

The always on kinect is a little invasive, but if I feel the need to jerk off or fuck my wife in front of the thing, I could unplug it.

Games will be the deciding factor for me.

Its the fact that something you bought you do not have the rights to. Holy hell, it has nothing to do with the dev or in this case it is all about MS aiming to get more money.

you really want to support the dev? do you? If so look on that devs website. See if they sell a PC version of the game right from there, if so buy it. That is the best way to support the true people who made the game. It cuts out MS taking like 25+% of the profits.

I don't think MS has ever lit E3 on fire so don't get your hopes too high. They've consistently been the worst of the 3 the past few years that I've watched. I'm expecting them to be the worst of 2 this year since Nintendo isn't doing the usual conference.
