Neg.
Everyone knows the main agitators of this thread, dont, wont and never have or will own an Xbox, yet the unnamed posters stalk this thread simply to attempt to change minds or to keep throwing darts. What is this predictability you speak of? Yall niggas are on some Jehova's witness type of shit.
Always knocking and preaching the good word that is Sony. You're my dude, but you, Shiyo, Exodusosjadjntwtfhisnameis and a few others are on some repetitive type of shit.
In all fairness, ive own two 360s and still have one!
I have an xbox and xbox 360, 360 is my most played console of this gen and I do not own a PS3. I have played 1,000+ hours on my 360. I have played ONE game on my wii, and for like maybe 2 weeks max(smash). I own >>two xbox 360s<<
$600 PS3 was bullshit so I did not support it. I made fun of the PS3 at launch, PS3 had worse ports with less fps, more, bugs, glitches etc(bayonetta, skyrim, just to name a few), 360 had better JRPGs at release, better exclusives I wanted like alan wake, tales, blue dragon, and was much better. I preferred the cheaper, better 360 to the more expensive PS3 with worse games and ports. Wii online was complete horseshit and xboxlive wasn't, most mmos still had a $15/month sub and that made xbox live seem worth it in ~2007. Now? No, not in 2013, especially with f2p mmos, online free everywhere, good multiplayer on every other console equal to live, etc.
I don't support bullshit, no matter the company, I just want games at a fair price. PS3 started this gen reallly badly and late as hell, making the 360 the obvious choice. Paying for online multiplayer, no used games, always online DRM, etc is bullshit. I don't support bullshit. If PS4 had the same I would not buy one either, or I would insult both and support nintendo.
People can have opinions without being fangirls/fanboys, we aren't 11 anymore.
See, that's where you fucked up.
You say I never owned a 360? See, I had one back when Vesperia was new. Same story as to why I got my PS3. Tales was released, machine was bought.
MS didn't have shit else for me though so I ended up selling that badboy and then a few years later you see me snapping up a PS3 for Tales of Graces.
I don't have any console allegiance, whoever gives me Tales and other game experiences I want gets my dollars.
I mean, I understand your frustration seeing your brobox get slammed but there is no need to project.
I do too, but I play in order of PC > PS3 > 360. Was merely mentioning the clear minority that really only have one goal by even constantly posting here. I dont give a shit and trying to avoid getting a time out, but if you have 30 concurrent posts that essentially say the same thing, then what point is being made that hasnt been conveyed?
Purely rhetorical btw. I dont expect answers.
"I love lamp"
Alternatively, lamp would've been a better name than One
Damn Miz, even Mazmaz is slamming your precious box. How are you feeling right now?
has spoken.
The vast, vast majority of online console games (including first party MS games like halo) use p2p hosting, meaning, the server is actually one of the consoles of the players in the game you're playing. With XBL, you're paying to host your own game servers with your own bandwidth.
I understand your point, and I realize now that my mistake is only comparing LIVE to Sony's PSN. While the Apple comparison is a bit apples-to-oranges (YEEAAHHH), I've never thought to compare it to PC services like Steam or even to Nintendo's service. I'm a console gamer, so I don't know if Steam offers "middle man" services like party chat, but I still don't think it would justify $60/year.
I've only ever had PSN and LIVE, so I admit my scope is limited, but comparing those two, I can justify a monthly charge for LIVE.
I don't get it. How do you compare the 2 and still justify a charge though? For 50 bucks a year PSN+ gives you access to 20+ games a year and lets you play online for free.
Yeah, they had a hacking incidence once, but it would've happened even if they were a paid service. You aren't paying $60 for the security. Where is the comparison beyond that?
PSN+ Is 50 a year and offers free "rental" games each month (which you claim them they are use forever but if you stop paying you lose access to them) like major releases, vita, psp and indie games as well as further discounts on sale prices they have weekly.
Well, technically not free since you pay for them with PSN+ but they are dirt cheap.
PSN+ is literally the best possible use for your gaming dollars for console games.
I mean, shit... inFamous2, Sleeping Dogs, Deus Ex: HR, SSFIV, Spec Ops: The Line, Darksiders and KoFXIII are all sitting on my PS3 gotten for that small sub fee (not that I didn't also get other games, but those are the ones that are on there now.)
Hell, I already got the value of my 1yr sub in the first month of the service so I kinda 'consider' the games free but technically they aren't.
I have over 2 years of PSN for a total of $35 bucks, lol. I just keep redeeming free 30 day trails (they stack), I got a year sub for $35 from Best Buy and a free year because I got a PSN credit card, lol.
