Yes we're dropping 50 bones on PS+ but we're at least given incentives to do so. It would be different if they released shit tier games as our "freebies" for the month. But they don't. They lay down quality titles every month that people genuinely want to play.
I've got to imagine that it helps recoup a bit of hardware costs, no way they're turning a profit at 399
Stockholm syndrome, or capture–bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors or abusers, sometimes to the point of defending them, and sometimes the feeling of love for the captor shows. These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness.
don't be so mean guys hes suffering
So if I run out of HDD and delete some games can I download them again for free? (Talking about the monthly free games, not the ones purchased)
PS+ gives me incentives to pay to play online
hey takedown, quit being such a massive faggot, thanks
Afk throwing money.
I don't pay for either Xbox Live Gold nor PSN+, and that probably isn't going to change anytime soon. I don't believe that users should be charged for most multiplayer features, which is consistent with what I said prior to the conference.
That noted, if I did pay for such services on a platform, it would probably be the PS4, but not because I've changed my mind—it's strictly because I don't see myself owning an Xbox One. PS4 therefore wins by default.
Having brief experience with the PS3 how on earth can you guys get by on the shit party chat features or lack off... Im not a huge Xbox fanboy or anything, haves always been a PC player but will likely go for the PS4 this time around... but being unable to make a simple party with a friend and chat away like vent etc killed any interest i had in the PS3. Tried DCUO with my cousin and we both had our Xbox on in a live party so we could chat while we played DCUO.. It was that bad!
Yeah XBL has always been a better service, hopefully the extra money coming in from Sony will push them to improve PSN. They did mention cross game chat as a feature.
? Has much changed? Only tried this about 3 months ago. The in game chat was beyond abysmal for DCUO. Not entirely Sonys fault but still would have been nice to just make a chat party.
Most of the time when i do use it i am in the same game but my experience of DCUO was not great. Mostly play sports titles with 4-5 friends and cousins like Fifa etc. Not sure if the in game chat was better for those but if i was playing a single player game like RDR and they were all playing Fifa its good and pretty standard in this day and age that i could just be in a chat party with them and shoot the shit until i joined them in game.
Good to hear they have made improvements on the Vita anyways!
I don't mind paying for online, I have done so for 7+ years on my 360, but looking at PSN+ all I saw missing was cross game chat vs a fuckload of features for the same monthly fee, so a few months ago I cancelled Gold. Now I don't have a PSN+ sub, don't know if I will in the future, but it was about fucking time MS stepped up and gave "free" games for having a Gold sub like PSN+ has been doing for years. Too bad they even dropped the ball on that with 6 year old games while you get a PS4 game for free with PSN+. And now for the same fee for which you got "free" games all these years, you also get online gaming with cross game chat. If there was a price jump in PSN+ monthly fee, I could understand people bitching, but there isn't. Gold hasn't been worth the money since PSN+ came around. Now you might like to toss money, but I like to make money talk by keeping it in my pocket, it is the only language companies understand.
