Okay seriously, NO ONE has a Vita to go along with their PS4 and this game?
The 2nd screen functionality should be working just the same both from iOS and from the Vita, yet the Vita's screen keeps saying that there's nothing to currently display when connecting it while the game is running.....
Remote play still works just fine though.
EDIT: nevermind, found an Ubi response on their forums.
That's just dumb.from Ubisoft forums:
"The Vita - is only used for Remote play on PS4 - If you want to use the in game map etc - on a second device while playing on AC4 - you use the AC4 companion app.
Second Screen support, depends on the title - AC4 has it's own comprehensive app - since the game does not support it at present - support might be added to use the Vita as a replacement, however there is no information on that at this time."
I do have a Vita but didnt try the second screen
Soooo ending talk and stuff:

Just got this on PC. My god this is the AC game we've been missing for the past few years. It takes the only good part of AC3, the ship stuff, and rolls with it in a big way. Being a pirate is fun. Awesome game so far.
It would have been neat if you could find hidden tombs while exploring underwater shipwrecks. They sort of lack purpose and tombs were one component from ACII I really enjoyed, especially the platforming puzzles.
Broadcasting multiplayer right now, I wanna see how bad it affects my internet and views. Don't get your hopes up. lol

I've only played a couple hours thus far, but it is great. I LOVED that Ubisoft has finally realized that most people have played Assassin's Creed games before and just let you jump right in to being an acrobatic, swashbuckling badass without having to go through a ton of monotonous training levels. Naval battles were rough at first, but after playing around a bit and getting some upgrades they are going much easier.
Finally finished it, loved it. Wasn't so much a fan of the underwater wreck explorations, but even then at least it wasn't the awful tower defense game of Revelations. I also didn't like how you had to be online to use Kenway's Fleet. (I am against ANY online required stuff for single player games.) Other than those two nitpicks it was fantastic. Took the best parts of AC3 (naval combat, hunting, combat improvements), and took away the worst parts of AC3 (now you can reach your target with freedom instead of being shoehorned into a specific play style, your protagonist is FUN again, and the supporting cast is good).

Also, the Adewale DLC is coming out Dec. 17th. I am still on an AC high so I might actually get it.
Is there any way to cancel a contract? Captured an "easy ranked" base and it gave me an uber hard boat contract "protect neptuno" and I can't get out of this contract and when I fail it it starts me right at the start of it. Can't fast travel since alrdy in combat and when I get too far away I auto lose because it desyncs me. Wtf is an easy base giving an uber hard boat contract for that belongs in a hard tier base
If you attempt it and fail enough eventually it gives you the option to abandon.
I believe the difficulty rating of the contract is calculated by how much you've upgraded the Jackdaw, not necessarily what fort you get it from.
PC port was "ok"...as much as AC3's port was "ok". Still issues where you end up running up a wall when you don't want to during a chase, or climb on a ladder when you really meant to hide in a bush next to the ladder. Other then that, game was far and away better then AC3 (fuck Conner...and fuck that last "chase" mission...). The sailing in this game was amazing.
That said..game was HILARIOUSLY easy, like other then a few ships, there was no challenge since you could stand still and dispatch 50+ soldiers with a push of a button. Also I found myself doing so much side mission stuff and then suddenly just saying "Fuck it, I just want to finish the game and uninstall it". Not sure why, but with all the collectables and what not, I found no real reason to get them all (unlocked the templar armor but not the mayan). Better then most of the AC games ive played, glad we didn't have to look at / play Desmond

PhysX making it really hard to see since 2013.
I guess I'm really late, but I just started playing AC4 on the PS4, and I'm loving it so far.
I've never played any of the previous ACs, so I was a bit surprised when the "current" timeline showed up lol.
