This actually looks amazing.
Definitely was a top 2 AC game. Looks great, will probably buy it once it's on sale.
I've never played an AC game before, literally just bought this a few days ago for the PS3. Found it at a store for $7.

Remake with 6 hours of additional content, reworked modern day segments, and load times removed.
Wouldn't be mad if they had just removed the modern day stuff lol
most pointless part of these games, the remake looks great all around
I never played Black Flag sorry to say but maybe that's a good thing because this looks incredible.
At this point, I agree. Initially I thought they were going to culminate in a modern era game featuring Desmond using all the skills he acquired from Altair, Ezio, and Connor. But the way they handled the end of AC3 took that off the board.
The inclusion of the modern segments in AC4 felt very pointless, an artifact of the fact the franchise had always featured the split and them having no idea what to do without Desmond.

We all thought that until they gave us that horseshit ending for Desmond. After that there wasn't any more reason for the modern segments, and it never felt like they gave enough of a shit to make them compelling.
The Present-day stuff was pretty interesting to me until they just said fuck it at the end of AC3 and then tried to sort of backpedal away from that in Black Flag. I still wish they would actually unfuck that whole situation but they clearly don't want to so I'd rather they not even try at this point.
AC2 is an amazing game, but I also really really liked Revelations. Those gold disc vault areas were so damn cool. Ezio and Edward are by far the two best protagonists they've ever done.
