If this thing isn’t a smash hit Ubisoft is gonna be in deep shit. Their fiscal year finished in the toilet. Below the toilet. In the septic tank.

it looks great, hope it hits RE2/4 remake sales if it is a banger, but imagine they're gonna need hits from Far Cry + Rainbow Six as well
Is your company really saved if it requires a remake to save it?
That's a MMO though, the money is in subs and not game sales. And wasn't so much a remake as just resetting the thing.
mammon cares not from whence the money flows so long as it flows

Review embargo is so strict that reviewers can only mention that they've played the game, but can't say anything more than that.
The reviews are looking good. 84 on MT.
I was waiting for them since you know, it's Ubisoft. But it's time to brush up on my sea shanties.
Opening to mostly negative on Steam.
I'm seeing negativity about the amount of DLC available and cutscenes being capped at 30 FPS. Whatever. None of this is an issue for me, I just won't be buying any of that.
So far it's solid experience and I'm loving revisiting this. RAISE THE BLACK FLAG, ME LADS
The Shill Up review mentions that the added epilogue, which can be accessed prior to the final mission, retells Edward's 20-hour character building over 2 hours. Like a complete character reset over an entire mission string.
up to mixed 67% and as Tyr said the negatives are mostly people crying about DLC/microtransaction practices, not the quality of the game itself. 30 FPS cutscenes appear to be a bug triggered by adjusting some graphical settings away from presets.
i'm too mired in games atm to justify full price but it looks p dang good, hopping to it soon as there's a decent sale / i have some scheduling space.
It’s Ubisoft so you know it’ll be $25 or less in like three months.
I ain't waiting 3 months when 25 different games come out before GTA
Ain't that the truth with Ubisoft. I still have my PS3 copy of Black Flag to whittle away at some point (backlogged alongside AC3/Rogue, this was kinda the point I burnt out on AC after 1+Ezio trilogy), so I'm in no real need of this remake since it seems like it's 95% the same game, graphical polish aside?
Highly doubt we'll see that fantastic bug with the boat & floating dudes though.
I might just skip ahead to Valhalla since I like that setting at any rate and I got it recently through a bundle.
Just sell your PS5 and wait another year for GTA6 like the rest of us on PC.
I was talking about playing the 25 other games, not GTA
Yeah that still sounds weird and doesn't really make any sense. I'll have to see for myself.
Also the Random capitalization in the Subtitles is really Annoying.
