My bookbag broke. Gimme advise for a new one pls halp

    http://m.llbean.com/mt/www.llbean.com/llb/shop/62851

This is what i've had for the last 6 years and it broke today. It was great wheni was in high school and carried all my books in it. Now i'm on the closer end of finishing my degree and it broke today.

    My typical carry:
    15 inch laptop
    two 1 inch binders
A textbook that is about as thick as a pack of paper
    Kindle fire
    Mouse and laptop charger.

Anyone have reccomendations? I'm kind of wanting a messenger bag but don't really know anything about this shit. Halp?

Can be pricey, fuck the people who call it hipster. These bags are amazing, spacious and sturdy. Worth the investment if you can justify spending a few bucks on it.

I believe LL Bean is guaranteed for life, they will allow you to return your bag at any time https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/5106...-cs?qs=5114331

Although sounds like more an excuse to buy a new bag I don't know anything about messenger bags, Fossil has some pretty awesome looking ones that I have been debating purchasing for some time. http://www.fossil.com/en_US/shop/men...egoryId=331209

Get a Timbuk2 bag but get it from amazon. Check reviews and do searches in their reviews for "school" "class" and "college" and see what size is good for you. Their messenger bags are great, if not the best, since they are made for cyclists and can go on the back so the weight is distributed better.

I have a classic messenger, medium I think, and it would fit everything you mentioned. I had a Q for a while, and while it was small and perfect for my M11x or iPad, it was kinda tough to get anything else in there. They can be on the pricey side since they're super hipster, but I got mine for $50 and it's easily the best $50 bag I've ever had.

You might want a d-lux or something for extra laptop protection.

If they don't have a sale going on, you might wanna stay away from them.

I have a Swiss Army backpack with a padded laptop pouch and whatnot. I use it for everything. Works great. I can't find the exact model anymore, but I got it at Sam's Club for $40 ~8 years ago. This is ALMOST the same. The only difference I can see from the pictures is that my rearmost pouch doesn't open as much, and the small device pouch in the front pouch is in the rear pouch on mine, and has an audio jack so that I can plug my device into the backpack, then my headphones or whatever into the shoulder strap. But I never use that.

Only thing wrong with it after 8 years is the little clip in the laptop pouch that's supposed to hold the pouch closed broke. But I just snipped the other end off and replaced it with a quick-release key-loop thing (The ones that look like climbing clips but all say "NOT FOR CLIMBING" on them) and it works fine. I hardly ever need it anyway, since it's inside a larger zippered pouch.

Been using this Dakine messenger bag for the past year, since I carry a laptop around quite a bit. Was cheap, too.

These are all really good picks. If only I could get a timbuk2 left handed bag on amazon prime.

Also, going to see about getting refunded on my llbean backpack. thanks for that.

This bag is f'ing godlike - i have it too. Originally back when going to school, I used a messenger bag, and with like 30-40 pounds of books and quite a lot of walking around campus all day, back pain ensued. This bag here is built for laptops, is super comfortable and keeps everything safe.

I came to the conclusion that Swiss Army backpacks are crap. Can't remember if it was a basis off of one bag or two...

My Dakine has held up quite nicely, and they have a bunch of different designs.

Small thread hijack but does anyone have any recommendations for a cross body bag (if that's the right terms) must be able to hold wallets, 2-4 bottles of soda/water and some snacks. Going to Disneyland in April and want to avoid the back pain from backpacks.

We'll need a recommendation for a matching scarf then also, preferably gaudy and overpriced.
