To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S Ep 5

What a fantastic episode! They were able to set up, execute and resolve 9982 introduction in a single episode! It looked great and the humour was still present during the tension. Accelerator was a really cool and it'll be interesting to see how he integrates into the story going forward since they're adding original material.

JC staff spent more money on that episode than they did the entire previous season.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S Ep 6

This was another really good episode. The emotional struggles throughout were very nicely handled, and the subtle use of music greatly contributed to it's effectiveness. Accelerator continues to be such a fantastic character(winning without breaking a sweat).

The second season of Railgun made me want to actually watch the 2 seasons of Index (which I haven't up until just recently). The best way to summarize Index season 2 that I could think of was "Either the girls are always naked, or always getting punched in the face by a guy".

I was really kind of surprised when a Jump manga/anime had an episode where 2 very young children were abducted and eaten by a giant bug. I'm too used to power of friendships and love and being a good guy even if you're a bad pirate.

That chick with the huge beret and telecommuting bees was brutally killed and I never saw it coming. Honestly never thought it would happen given the show's shounen status. We even see the bloody aftermath of her being eaten a bit later. It's approaching Game of Thrones level.

Just watched the episode myself. Absolutely brutal. She was shot multiple times before he ate her too. Not to mention the one guy getting his head sliced off and the other his head bitten off. Compared to everything this manga/anime has shown thus far, this was seriously unexpected for me too, lol. Even the bombers in Greed Island, or the Phantom Troupe stuff wasn't this brutal and gory

Yeah, some did not like the bug arc (in the manga) ebcause its obscenely long, but this accelerated anime version does it pretty well.
