Fresh Start - Scouting for a Social Shell

Having now played around in the Alpha and now the Beta so far, I figure it's time to start scouting out a Linkshell/Server to join up with come release time in (hopefully) a few months.

I played XIV for about 6-7 months off/on back during the 1.0 days, but found myself disinterested, spending most of my time sitting around Uldah, messing around with crafting and such.
That said, I didn't progress a huge amount, if memory serves, I took each class to at least 10, with Thaumaturge around 15 and Marauder roughly 22. Mining was around 20 as was Smithing.

But all of that's in the past. I'm looking for a fresh start, i'll be starting a brand new character with the advent ARR, and as such, i'm looking for a new place to call home.
The biggest thing i've been missing out on so far is the social aspect of this entire game.
I didn't have much of an experience with it throughout 1.0, and haven't had much through the Testing Phases either.
I'm an active, dedicated player, always willing to help out if i'm able.
I'm accustomed to being active on community forums and any voicechat platforms that may be in use.
I don't really have a preference of server at the time being.

If any veterans of Sylph Server (XI) are kicking around, i'd be interested to hear where you're all going, always nice to see some familiar faces.

Anyway, we're just a bunch of regular folks who've been friends since FFXI. And we are kind-of on Sylph. We were originally on Fairy, but got merged with Sylph. I had to rename my character and everything We've still got a couple members active in XI, and unless there's been another merge they're still on Sylph.
