Windower 4 - Discussion and Support

A couple of notes for when this happens (which I'll probably post again tomorrow):
1) Battlemod users will need to regenerate their settings.xml file at ../windower/addons/battlemod/data/settings.xml
2) Gearswap and Spellcast are incompatible. GearSwap and Shortcuts are compatible and compliment each other.

The old client will update automatically. People won't have to lift a finger, ideally, barring any unforeseen consequences.

Not Windower related directly, but didn't want to start a thread. What the hell is the install path for the registry? I screwed up my install using XI-util and don't want to start from scratch. I'm just logging in to give shit away, dammit.

If you mean where in the registry it should be, its HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\PlayOnlineUS
HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\PlayOnlineUS for a 64 bit machine.

Replace US with the appropriate region code if necessary.
If you're referring to where the install path is defined, there's a subfolder called "InstallFolder" that has 3 String keys in it. 0001 is the name of the key referring to the FFXI game folder, 0002 points to TetraMaster and 1000 points to PlayOnline Viewer.

It was supposed to be last night, yeah, but we ran into some controller-related issues. It's kinda minor and we're hoping to have it fixed today, but we really don't wanna release it as long as it has a bug that 4.0 doesn't have, just to not piss anyone off. But for all intents and purposes, it's release-ready, just this one thing we need to address now.

It does not (to my knowledge). Also, the controller bug is pretty annoying, so looks like it won't be today either, I'm afraid. It already works for one char, but causes really odd issues when multiboxing.

Is that about trying to have the toggle for if the controller is read while the window is out of focus?

It's not about the toggle, but the problem itself. I thought I fixed it (and I kinda did), but with it came a few weird bugs that didn't make it work as expected in some cases, and sometimes just spam buttons when you're not looking...

Well, I fixed it in the sense that it's now working the same as on 4.0 (slightly better, actually). That said, 4.1 is ready now and will be released as soon as Stan wakes up to push the Guildwork plugin.

Timers has been broken for BRD since the update. Will this be fixed when 4.1 is pushed?

Yes, it's already working on 4.1. It wasn't supposed to be an issue because it should have been the live version now, but there were minor details that needed to be accounted for.

I doubt anybody is going to re-build that version, but it should auto-update today. We're just waiting on Guildwork as Arcon said.

Stan must be a late sleeper!

I cant seem to remember what the command is but wasnt there a command like //exec something that basically reloaded everything as if you jsut rebooted and logged on for the first time.
Because //unloadall to mule without crashing means i have to reboot anyways to get all the plugins reloaded without risking i will forget one or two of them manually loading each one.

It used to be exec init.txt but plugins/addons were moved. Try //exec autoload/autoload.txt
