Windower 4 - Discussion and Support

Speaking of weird things with Windower...

Used Defender by accident, and I get the following message:

"Kensagaku uses Burning Blade.
Defense is enhanced but attacks weaken."

Curious, I used Berserk after that:

"Kensagaku uses Rudra's Storm.
Attacks are enhanced but defense weakens."

Should I worry? XD

Probably Battlemod acting up if you use that.

Its may be just you. I'm on RNG/WAR, with my RNG.lua loaded, and im able to use Velocity Shot, Barrage, Sharpshot, Berserk, Warcry, Double Shot, Decoy Shot, all with no issues.

I use a simple gearswap. no includes, keybinds, etc, if that helps or makes a difference.

Hmm, maybe it has to do w/ Motenten's GearSwaps. All the ones I use are his, with the exception of RNG, but that doesn't seem to allow it either.

yeah myself and ls friends are having the same problems, and seem to be only ones using his gs/includes

Yeah, it's just BattleMod acting up, not really a big deal. Having another issue with BattleMod, though. Whenever I use a weapon skill, I get the following message:

BattleMod: Lua error (runtime) - .../windower4//addons/battlemod/parse_action_packet.lua:517: attempt to index local "spell" (a nil value)

GearCollect is broken for me, and was before the update. I will run, put enough items into my inventory to fill it but wont remove from inventory.

I am on RNG/WAR, not using Motenten's and I am getting the same message.

I see the cause of the GearSwap JA problem, but it's not clear which way I should fix it yet. Should know more when I get home.

Re-run launcher and you'll download new resources that should fix GearSwap (but not enable Wardrobe yet).

Uh...I just started crashing for no reason.

Was in the game, moving crap to wardrobe, moved shadow belt or gorget, dont remember which, then crashed.

Relogged, crashed as soon as I saw my character again.

Edit: Its something in wardrobe, I think. Every time I reload, I do completely fine. I just sat there for a few min and nothing happened then opened wardrobe, it thought about retreiving my items then crashed again.

The new resources should also fix battlemod. Just re-run launcher.

Clicking flotsam crashed me.

Testing around with windower TXT macros I noticed that there's a delay for the feet slot.
Everything else is equipping normally, but the feet slot and only that lags behind. Need to press the macro multiple times.
It's always the feet slot, it's not random.
Very very odd.


Edit:
It's either the feet slot in general or "Hermes' sandals", since it's the only equippable item for the feet slot I have in Wardrobe atm for my current job.

Been using AutoRA add-on for RNG, after the update today I keep getting this message anytime I hit CTRL-D to start shooting arrows:

> AutoRA: Lua Error (runtime) - ...gram Files (x86)/Windower4//addons/AutoRA/AutoRA.lua:95: attempt to index field 'status' (a number value)

Any idea what this means? CTRL-D will still auto-fire an arrow, but I get that message every time, and it only fires one until I hit it again. It's not the end of the world or anything, just kinda random.

No changes at all, just turned it on in the Add-On menu in Windower 4 and it's worked fine until today.

I use the one that comes with Windower 4, by Banggugyangu:

That won't work anymore. player.status changed from a string to a number. You could try changing line 95 from

if (player.status:lower() == 'engaged' ) then

to

if (player.status== 1 ) then

. Or you could try using the fancier autoRA that was posted a few pages ago.
