nvm on this, it isn't working properly. for example, typing //warp2 on a target other than myself still causes the spell to target me. I'll submit a report on the bug tracker

edit: or not, it's mysteriously working now

If you target a trust npc and do it then it warps yourself, I've had that happen.

Pushed out a fix for Shortcuts that should eliminate the nil errors. I didn't get to test it as much as I would have liked, but it seemed like a lot of people were having trouble with it so I rushed it out.

Actually it's a problem with the monster_abilities resource file.

So Um, I just came back to FFXI today, and I noticed Spellcast is gone from Windower 4? apparently it's being phased out in favor of gearswap? It just kind of sucks I'm going to have to write new rules in a brand new complicated scripting language.... which is gonna be tough for all those WHM sets of mine....

I heard there's a way to "unlock" unsupported plugins like spellcast in Windower 4 but I have no idea how to do it. I appreciate that it's being dropped, and I might start work on learning GearSwap, but I'd like to be able to risk using my XML for right now just so I can actually freaking play WHM for the moment.

I know SC isnt supported anymore but just was curious if the whole "spellcast doesnt detect/recognize new spells added this patch" a resources thing or a spellcast thing?

they will have to update older resources at one point so that gearcollector will function. But im not sure what all that includes.

So, what do people who have switched over to gearswap use instead of gearcollector? I still use Spellcast (which, btw, works pretty well!) and I couldn't live without gearcollector, having so many jobs geared and ready to use.

Could you please tell me how to keep using Spellcast? I just got my new PC and I re-installed and I can't figure out how to re-download and re-enable Spellcast since it's been discontinued. I'm too nervous to scrap my XML and just spend weeks trying to get GearSwap to work for me.

Execute Windower 4, go to "Plugins", select "Spellcast" and switch to "On"?

Unless they don't include it anymore in there, I haven't had to move a finger to keep using it since few years ago.

you shoudl rather switch to gearswap, because at some point spellcast wont work, it is allready not working now correctly 100% of the time. Just invest some time to get into gearswap, its 93290392032x better then spellcast ever was.

Old resources were updated minutes after the servers went back up. SC should work fine.

Still GC, GS can export XML files in a format that GC can recognize.

You need to first input the Konami Code on the plugin tab to active unsupported plugins.

and if you re-ran launcher and downloaded the new shortcuts within the last 12 hours, it should not error anymore. I implemented a default priority (spell > ja > ws > monster ability) for ambiguous names. That fixes most/all of these conflicts because the conflicts are almost all with new monster abilities. I'll need to go back through and handle each duplicate this weekend.

i'm still getting an error with shortcuts was meditate and warcy fixed? i'm getting an error on this line...

It is weird. with the exception of really early morning yesterday i havent had any updates downloaded when i launched launcher. do i have to /shutdown for these fixes?

Yeah, just got home and can confirm it's not downloading anything.
Probably something got messed up in the live version and stuff that needs to be pushed there is still on the Dev repository?
