OK before yesterday I havent had this issue. But the thing where the name at the top of the windower window isnt set to the current character I think is affecting autoexec. Its the only thing i can think of. When i log on first time for a day i go thru my mules for login points. The name on the window has been changin until i get to the middle mule and then it stays his name. Autoexec hasnt been loading plugins/addons or chatmodes or whatever i have it set to do for my main character. If i shutdown and load right to my main character it works just fine. I dont really know how windowe works but i am assuming that because it doesnt displayin the window as my main character autoexec might not realize that is the char that is loaded and isnt doin its things.

EDIT: Oh i completely forgot to put in here, that the wrong name at the top of the window i think is also causin gearswap to not load my job files. Its weird caue even with the wrong name in the past it month or so its been happening gearswap has worked fine (unless it always managed to update when loggin onto my mains. I know my mules would sometimes not be the correct name when i went thru them)

NOTE: i know launcher loads plugins and addons but some i only want on my main or some seemed to crash in the past when they loaded quickly after each other so with AE i can slow down the time between loading plugins.

Been trying out dressup, wanted to change the race of my mule.

I notice it works most of the time, when exiting a mog or something my alt is shown in its original model though. Until I change some gear or move out of range and back in, is there a way to force it to update the model or something?

Guys about Subadai's and mine issue with Crash Dumps, we already discussed that you don't really know why they come out like that, and it's fine.
Do you have any place to suggest where we could go asking to try to fix this issue? I feel it's very important for the current Timers and future issues.
Like, I dunno, an irc channel, a forum, a website, whatever. Somewhere where some other cool dev guy might have a clue what the issue depend on if we explain it, or at least give some tips or hints or tests to do to finally nail down the problem and then solve it?

So Last night a weird issue. I have customized my buff icons dat. But since last night for somereason my mule on same pc and such has the default buff icons while my main has the customs. This just started last night, and after rebootings it persists. Any idea why one char would be gettin default buff icons when they should be usin the same 57.dat?

Change the icon type under config ingame, the dat pack only affects one of the two.

Does the timestamp addon crash Pol? I keep getting crashes and I vaguely remember timestamp being an issue years ago. Is it still a thing?

is there an option to make gearcollector pick up gs exported xml files from the export folder of gearswap? would be a nice quality of life change ._. instead of constantly copying everything into the spellcast folder.

I can adjust GearCollector to also search the GearSwap folder. Ideally GS should be as little Spellcast-aware as possible.

Having a weird issue with incoming messages getting "stuck." It's not a constant thing, but I've noticed it here and there over the past couple of days. I'll see nothing in LS for some time, then I'll get 4-10ish message all at once. These can be delayed up to 5ish minutes from my experience. Had a tell from a friend get hung up as well just now, asked if I wanted to do a 555 Skirmish, but I didn't receive the tell for 4 minutes and 32 seconds, and he had filled in that time.

Only addons/plugins I'm using that effect the chat log are Translate and Timestamp, and GS for packets. Any idea what may cause this? Anyone else experience anything else similar? It doesn't appear to be lag, the game plays fine otherwise, I'm just not always receiving messages when I should. As far as I can tell, I've had no issues with outgoing messages either.

Is there an addon that can log in a file, with timestamps, specific types of chat messages?
Like let's say I want to log into a file all /tells and /Linkshell messages that appear on screen while I'm, say, afk in bazaar mode for a night.
Is there an addon that can do that?
Logger isn't quite the thing I'm looking for.

Some friends suggested me to use a 3rd pt tool called "Exilted" and aside from a few bugs (messages that appear in the wrong tab) it does the job, but if you leave it open too much I dunno what happens but it becomes very very very slow.


tl;dr
For those times when I have to afk for long times, I want to be able to read the tells and ls messages I received while I was afk.

Check out the AnsweringMachine addon. It does not log to file, but it can replay, in the chatlog, all tells you received while afk.

Answeringmachine is absolutely fantastic! Always ignored it 'cause I thought the main purpose of it was to send automatic customized reply messages.
It doesn't handle LS chat but tbh I don't really care that much about that, tells were my main concern and AM is incredible, more than I could ask for! :D

I still use kparser to log all chat, it has timestamps as well, but if you leave it open for like a week, the memory usage becomes higher then that of ffxi, should prob check your chat before then though.

I've been getting this, too. I've also been noticing that I've been getting tells through Guildwork's Jabber before I get them in-game.

I've noticed this as well, i can often see ls chat occurring on one character and then appear a few minutes later on another character, and i can hear chatmon give me alerts a whole 30 seconds before i get a tell. I just assumed it was lag from my really bad connection and PC, because it seems most common when one character is in town (west adoulin when i noticed it while dual boxing) and the other is not.

I have been getting this as well but assumed it was my connection! I tribox all the time, all using the same add-on/plugin and it randomly happens to a character but not the others. Doesn't seem to matter what zones I am in. Chat-wise, using the same stuff as Malithar.
