Windower 4 - Discussion and Support

This is my first post, so I want to start off by thanking the Windower community for a great product.

I am getting an error message when I play as a Monipulator.

GearSwap: Lua error (runtime) - ... Files (x86)/Windower4//addons/gearswap/triggers.lua:91: attempt to index local 'r_line' (a nil value)

This happens when I try to use Power Attack on Beetle, or Wild Oats on my Korrigan.

If you meant me no i use gearswap now. Its kinda annoying when it occurs but I can live with it.

fatrat does the error prevent power attack from occurring or is it jsut an error and everything else functions normally?

You're probably describing an IPC disconnect then. That has been a constant problem since the introduction of IPC. Trying to figure out the monstrosity problem now. It looks like the resources changed somehow.

ResourceExtractor has scrambled monstrosity.lua's tp_moves field, which is causing the errors. I'm pushing another change to -dev, but that bug fatrat found is still going to be there (in a different place).

Okay, I just pushed updates to gearswap, shortcuts, battlemod, translate, and the config library live. They should fix all reported bugs with my addons.

I need to unload Shortcuts for my BRD macros to work.
They're nothing special, stuff like "/ma "Victory March" <stpc>"
They don't work at all, nothing happens. If I //victorymarch <stpc> likewise.
With shortcuts unloaded everything works.

Also has Blinkmenot been reported as not working? (sorry, first time I play since the patch day)

The Shortcuts bug is known and Byrth is looking into it.

BMN has not been reported as not working, but maybe just no one uses it anymore with DressUp out.

Blinkmenot works... sometimes. I dunno it's strange, sometimes it just spams blinking, some other times it works. Had other LS mates with the same issues.
Will check dress up, but does it have the same exact functionalities of BMN?


Also just noticed, BRD debuffs are back being tracked on Timers buff window. Seeing all my elegies poppin up there.

Getting some odd issues with my BRD GS, some reason it keeps trying to spam a song over and over after I select it. Like I'll select ballads 3 and it will just keep spamming it for a little.

To my knowledge, yes. It's a mix of BlinkMeNot and PlasticSurgeon.

Also just noticed, BRD debuffs are back being tracked on Timers buff window. Seeing all my elegies poppin up there.

I want to change the position of Scoreboard, but when I go to Addons >> Scoreboard >> Data >> Settings(Right-Click >> Edit) and try to change the X and Y I get this message:

Do you want to save changes to C:\Program Files(x86)\Windower4\addons\scoreboard\settings.xm l?

Than I get click "Save" and get:

settings.xml already exists. Do you want to replace it?

I click, "Yes"

And than I get a message saying "Access is Denied".

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

The Shortcuts issue as described on github (target replaced by a string of numbers) seems to be happening with pet commands as well for me, even if trying to use them from the menu.

I don't know, but try using drag/drop to move it around. I think SB was adjusted to work with that, but not entirely sure.

Certain settings in windows stop you from altering files or saving directly to the program files folder. Try moving the file to your documents folder, make the edit then move it back.

Ok, I got everything set up finally, just need to remake 2 script macros and I'll be good to go, but Windows 8.1 doesn't seem to make them the same way as 7. When I right-click off the page like before under Text it just has an option to "Create Folder" But I don't see anywhere to write my scripts in there. Anyone know how to write script macros on Windows 8.1?

Edit, I figured it out. Friend in-game with Windows 8.1 helped me out. Apparently being Administrator isn't enough. I have to 'take control" of the file too before I can make script macros in it.

So, I'm just starting to figure out what the Send plugin is meant for, and since I've been dualboxing since my return a couple years ago, it sounds like a damn good idea to learn about it more.

So is there a good guide anywhere for what can and cannot be done? My dualbox is almost as geared as my main is, but on GEO and WHM for my main THF. Can I create send commands to use macros on my dualbox? So if I want them to cast Indi-Haste, they'll equip precast gear, cast spell, and finish in +geomancy gear? And same for cures/haste?
