Ok thanks for the answer byrthnoth Would it maybe blank them out if you do a search when still loading stuff after zoning? happens occasionally when I am in my mog house on one char and moving my other around and i do a search on my mog house one. Other than that I usually try to wait til that new icon that shows us its loading stuff is gone.

Timers is being weird today, now that its adding a duration timer for sublimation, it seems like it can't tell when you use sublimation if your starting the charge or using the full sublimation. As a result, i end up with like a dark arts timer and a full list of sublimation timers counting down for 2 hours if i solo for long periods of time. Its fairly annoying because it forces some other, more important buff timers, off my screen.

Edit: Also, arts and sublimation keep overwriting each others timer.

The other day we went through all jobs and added duration timers for all of them. There were dozens of new timers and we didn't test every one of them (or any one of them, really, because it was a straightforward resources addition). It's very possible that other timers are also screwy if they behave in a weird way. I'll check those out later today, just report anything out of the ordinary.

Not a windower issue but posting here because a lot of people are competent with these things.
Since the xmas holidays season I'm getting random (but very often) super slow POL load up times.
It stays ages in the password check phase.
Then ages to "retrieving friend list"
Then ages in loading the menu screen with the crystal in the up/left corner.
Then it usually also takes a lot after game is loaded in the stage where it loads up characters.

Sometimes, when in POL, I also get random POL error like POL-0260 or POL-1341 saying something is busy, but then if I retry everything usually works.


I don't think anybody else has been experiencing things like these or I would have saw some posts here and there, so I'm guessing it has to be a local issue of mine.
What kind of issue could it be? Overloaded network? Network data loss? Something got fucked up in my Windows network configuration? I have a malicious software stealing bandwidth?
What could I do to isolate the problem and understand what does it depend on?

I was getting major r0 problems last week. I'm sure they would have affected the login server too. Comcast?

Nah I live in Italy, we don't have Comcast here. As far as I can tell I'm not having issues with any other network related thing, but that doesn't tell us much.

I rebooted today and the Timers plugin did an update and is now showing wrong Buffs timer.
Example being I'm on THF and did Trick Attack and this popped up. Cover from pld. Many others to, Accomplice showed Triple Shot to name another.

Just started getting an odd error with gear swap while exporting today. "GearSwap: Lua runtime error: ...am Files (x86)/Windower4//addons/gearswap/export.lua:60: "id" is not defined for numbers". Any idea what could be causing this? Only thing i did different was delete some old character specific lua files in the export folder. This is happening when i use the inventory variable, for example if i do gs export xml it works and exports my currently equipped gear, but if i add the inventory tag I get the previous error.

I'm having a couple issues since an update was pushed Friday evening(1/9/15). I'm running windows xp sp3. Yeah yeah lol, but they play ffxi fine and that's all we use em for.

First issue is with gearswap, any action parsed I get;
GearSwap: Lua runetime error:...windower4//addons/GearSwap/refresh.lua:550: "id" is not defined for numbers

Getting that error with data folder empty as well. Deleted / reinstalled through launcher as well. same problem. Having this issue on two different win xp sp3 machines.

Second issue, I downloaded a fresh install from windower.net, thinking something on my end was bad. Inside the GUI launcher, tab addons is blank.

A friend playing on win7 sent me his addon directory which I pasted in and was able to move on error free.

For some reason it didn't update your addon directory. The GS error you had was fixed some time ago. As for why the addon tab was blank, that would happen if our server was unavailable. Does this still happen, since our server is up now?

Yes the addon tab is still blank on a fresh install. Just re downloaded the installer from windower.net 2:45am cst

Hm, it works fine for me on both live and dev. And apparently you can get on the Windower site, since you got it from there. I'm not sure what's causing this... try deleting the contents of your Windower/updates/ folder and then restart it, see if that makes it appear.

Okay so I deleted the contents of the update folder and restarted the launcher. It downloaded the missing files but the addon tab is still not populating with addons, just nothing there. Same problem on a different machine, both pcs running win xp sp3.

Been having a minor issue the past few days. Ctrl P to talk in party chat and Ctrl M to open the magic menu no longer work. Tried without Windower and it worked so it's something in there. Gonna troubleshoot addons/plugins later to see if there's one that's causing it. Just posting in case someone knows what might be causing it.

One thing I could think of would be if you had custom macros set up with Yush. Or, similarly, another custom addon that blocks the key presses.

Hello I'm having the same problem that I see others on this page have had above me. Mine says:

It happens when I log in and when I do anything that triggers gearswap. I tried fixing it by deleting gearswap and redownloading it, and also by redownloading all of windower but I still get that error.

Let me start off by explaining that the internet is a series of tubes. For whatever reason, a subgroup of our live users have gotten connected to a tube that travels back in time to our repository from over a week ago. I think we might have a lead on why this is happening, but in the meantime you'll want to replace these two files in windower/addons/gearswap:
