Are recorded videos normally supposed to not have any sound in them? I started recording misc cutscenes and they all have a distinct lack of sound in them.

Using windower, yes. Aureus hooked up xvid for video but there is nothing including the audio.
Sorry if this isn't strictly Windower-related, but is there anything that mimics ApRadar functionality? I have had no success with it since the 12/10 update.
ffxidb plugin does the on screen map part. can also show mobs/npcs/???/ect within range on the map
So I've been getting a really weird issue with windower crashing on launch after my computer's been on long enough. Usually if I have an XI instance running from earlier I can keep playing unless some other random error causes it to crash or I just exit the game, and then after that windower will either crash upon launching POL or crash on launching XI. POL and XI work just fine when I run into this issue if I launch them vanilla. The problem also fixes itself if I just restart my computer so it's not really a big issue or anything, just annoying. I imagine maybe it's some other process causing this to happen, but I can end getting this issue even if I'm doing nothing but playing XI.
On Windows 10 btw.
Been spamming VW since the start of this months event. Just wondering if there's a LUA file out there that would make it easier/faster to grab Phase Displacers from NPC. My searches have come up negative.
May be a known issue(assuming it's global and not just a misconfig on my end), but Timers isn't visually showing an increased duration from equipment bonuses. Perpetuance and Composure bonuses are displayed, but Telchine augments, for instance, are not being applied.
Timers doesn't parse the Enhanced magic duration bonus from Telchine gear, yet.
So I'm sure if this is possible it's only with tons of configuration, but I was wondering about organizer. Would it be possible to sync up organizer with say mog garden farming? Say I want to keep certain items, can I use the freeze function (or another one?) to always stack that item into my safe, and for another item, stack that into my locker, all while only moving my gear between inventory and satchel?
Anyone have a problem with teleporting/same time zoning with multiple characters? It's been going on awhile and it's increasingly annoying with having to run to reisen 5 times a day.
Basically, whenever I teleport or all zone at the same time, if I've been sitting around awhile, it will lock my game up 90% of the time. I'm guessing multiple instances are trying to access the same file and that's causing the game to crash. Not entirely sure it's a windower problem though, because I ran windower off of two separate windower folders and it still crashes the same way. Is there a fix for this or do I have to have multiple instances of ffxi installed?
Is the HDD going to sleep? Like in one of those green hard drives that sleeps independently of windows power settings? Can you post your FFXI HDD model number?
I imagine not since it's still in use. I'm still running around in-game or watching youtube or something. It's an intel ssdsa2m160g2gn 160.0gb
Over the last couple months this has become more of a problem for me as well. I only have 2 characters, but if they ever zone at same time, often my game will hang for a bit. sometimes crash. I just figured it was cause i am usin an older XP PC with 1 GB ram. I have to turn many in game settings like the one that extends how far i can see all the way down to even play without huge lag. I made a script that uses warp rings on both characters if one isnt BLM/BLM and after a while I learned to put a wait between both using them. When one is on follow usually its ok but occasionally if both zone into moghouse right after each other its an issue. Only thing I dunno what to do about is when i teleport. The last time i did it hung but its usually not too bad a problem. I dont tele as much with all the HPs around tho now.
Well I turned off all plugins and addons and it still crashes upon teleporting.
I also noticed something else. I 3box (not 2box as I eluded to earlier), and it (almost?) always seems to be the teleporter that locks up. You 'End Process' on that character and the others come back. It is considered a zone crash though, so you have to wait 5-10 minutes to be able to log in again.
What harddrive is FFXI installed on (Crucial SSD, etc.)?
This really does only happen to some people, so it would be interesting to find that it only happens with particular harddrive brands.
is it possible to add mighty guard and indi- spells to timers?
including the calculation of added duration from jp/gifts/gear?
if so, can I request it to be added? when the windower team has time of course.
Well it says intel ssdsa2m160g2gn 160.0gb . If you need more specific information, it'll have to wait until I get home from work.
Try updating your harddrive's firmware.
If it is already up to date, try the first four SSD adjustments here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...weak,2911.html
If you noscript, you need to enable tomshardware and bestofmedia to get their links to work. They happen to run the test with a similar harddrive to the one you have.
Well I just spent the last hour trying, and failing, to update my firmware (Why is there only an update version for mac os and not windows?). I also realized that my ffxi stuff is installed on a secondary non-ssd hard drive and not my primary hard drive.
