Log out all of your characters and then log back in.
ok that did it thx byrth
NP. That's actually a really old bug with our IPC implementation where it fails to find any other open instances. We don't know why it happens, but somehow it poisons the well and even if you relog the bad character and log back in they still won't be able to connect to the others. The solution has always been to just log out of every character and log them back in.

Did Gearswap get fixed to deal with the new luopan placing mechanic yet? i remember we were waiting for someone to have time to do something or other a while back.
No, it still needs the right values exposed via LuaCore.
Does anyone happen to know a method for directly binding controller buttons to windower commands? I'm aware of programs that will bind controller buttons to keyboard keys, but I'm running out of keys to bind to(mutli-key combos don't seem to work well.)
Is there something like virtual keys I could bind to? Although, there's also the issue of how to trigger those keys if so...
Azuresets is very slow to load all the spells, anyone have an older version? Guildwork flushing not working properly either.
How do I make it so my mouse doesnt click/drag while the game is minimized? I figure it is a windows 10 thing since I never had the issue before.
the only way to maximize the speed it do do direct memory editing
this is because you only need to change the slots that you need to change the spells in
for instance we have(im assuming that these change ffxi's memory directly yes thats realy all that needs to be done tho see note*)
windower.ffxi.reset_blue_magic_spells()--clears all set blu spells
windower.ffxi.remove_blue_magic_spell(slot)--unsets the spell in the slot number given
windower.ffxi.set_blue_magic_spell(id, slot)--sets the given spell to the slot given
what we need is
windower.ffxi.get_blue_magic_spell(slot)--gets the set spell in the given slot
then we could do something like this(tho this probably wont work at all)
NOTE:Code:blu_slots_not_used = T{} Wanted_blu_spells = {} for i = 1, 20 do if Wanted_blu_spells:contains(windower.ffxi.get_blue_magic_spell(i)) then Wanted_blu_spells:remove(windower.ffxi.get_blue_magic_spell(i)) blu_slots_not_used:append(i) end i=i+1 end for i = 1, 20 do if blu_slots_not_used:append:contains(i) then continue else windower.ffxi.set_blue_magic_spell(Wanted_blu_spells[1], i) Wanted_blu_spells:remove(Wanted_blu_spells[1]) end i=i+1 end
all blu spells are between Hex: 0200 -02FF including thoes that require Unbridled Learning/Wisdom(but these do no show up in set spells)
Foot Kick; ID=577,HEXID=0241 in the array you look for 41
so if you put Foot Kick in slot 1 you search for this array in ffxi memory
its 20 slots long of 1 byte each
41 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
so if you set these spells
Venom Shell = 513
Maelstrom = 515
Metallic Body = 517
look for
01 03 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Are buff durations exposed to LuaCore?
I always welcome less mouse. Three years and I still can't just press enter on launcher profile select, heh.
Anyway, what's the new hotness for showing recasts and buff timers? That was still in flux last time around...
Does anyone know how to write more than one line for a command for Yush?
Just showing the needed lines in the settings file.
I cant seem to get it to work. whats the format for making timers not show the timers for Protect and Shell spells for example. I tried just puttin the buff name with commas between and semi colons and nothing worked. What am i doin wrong?
Code:<settings> <global> <!--If true, only items on the recast/buff lists will be displayed--> <WhitelistMode>false</WhitelistMode> <!--List of ability names to display recasts for if in whitelistMode and to exclude otherwise--> <AbilityRecastFilter /> <!--List of spell names to display recasts for if in whitelistMode and to exclude otherwise--> <SpellRecastFilter /> <!--List of ability names to display buffs for if in whitelistMode and to exclude otherwise--> <AbilityBuffFilter /> <!--List of spell names to display buffs for if in whitelistMode and to exclude otherwise--> <SpellBuffFilter /> </global> </settings>
I have seen a lot of threads on this issue though cannot seem to find any solution. My buddy installed the game on a fresh Windows 10 pc with nothing but newest nvidia drivers installed. Enabled Legacy components/Directplay and can run the game normally without windower.
In windower the game will crash during the transition from POL to FFXI (after hitting
play" on POL). We have tried messing with resolution settings on windower, running start as admin on POL/Windower, reinstalling both game from scratch and windows from scratch and cannot get it running. Is there anything else we can try?
I have installed the game without any problems so far on two laptops and one desktop all using Windows 10.
