There seems to be an issue with send and quotes, ie, //send mule /ma "Cure V" main doesn't work because the quotes are lost. I have an old version of send that I patched myself to fix some other stuff that wasn't working. Does the current version fix this?

    (i hate lua)

I just found this issue myself, and found the way to do it was encase the JA/Spell in single quotes, such as //send mule /ma 'Cure V' main. Seemed to fix it for me. I don't think double-quotes are parsed to avoid it only sending half the string.

In the past I got around that by setting aliases to the send target to execute.

I've literally tried everything that was suggested to fix the graphic issue. When i log into windower 4 standing in my mog house i'm getting no more than 11 FPS. I've tried changing the registry settings after i launch POL, i've tried logging into 3.4 windower and saving the settings it uses then launching 4 and opening the settings to mimic that of 3.4. I've unloaded all the plugins and tried this:

It's a bit clunky, but it works, until Windower 4 is patched.
If anyone has any idea what my problem is or why it's doing this i would love for it to be fixed. Thanks.

Nevermind, I found out how to fix my problem. Seems I have to log out every time to set the new settings.

This seems like a fairly regular request and one that has been made since Windower4 was released (I know I was asking for it!). Any chance we can get more exhaustive options to edit our graphic settings again, Windower devs? I was a little disappointed to see the launcher updated with the addon options (but very excited, don't get me wrong) and to find this still lacking.

Any idea why my game goes dark all of a sudden? like occasionally when i cast a spell or something it will go dark or go light?

its not gamma or game_forceambientlight that i can tell.

EDIT: Hmmm unlaoding/reloading Timers seems to have fixed it.

I'm lazy to make a github account. But, the past week when using Windower4 it has been freezing my game when it is loading plugins. It stops at Guildwork and then I have to open Task Manager to close the game. I just deleted all the GW stuff from my plugins folder and logged in fine. Then I downloaded it again and tried logging in on my alt and it froze again. Deleted GW again now and logged in just fine, but just looked back and got Windows pop-up saying PlayOnline has crashed. I had no problems with version 4 last week.

Unless you create an alias for everything possible under the sun, that's kind of useless when you want to send random manual commands while doing stuff.

I guess this will work for now. Just have to remember it. Thanks!

This issue is still persisting. and occasionally when unloading timers POL will crash (this is all using the non-graphical mode).

Can't we just have recast back?

Does anyone have an extend.xml for BuffDuration for Winning Streak? I am not sure how to set it up since the time extension on that is weird. I have full Winning Streak merits (+100 seconds), AF3+2 gloves (+10%, or +40 seconds with full merits), and AF2+2 hat (+6 seconds per Winning Streak merit, or +30s). I guess I could cheat and just make one piece of gear +2m55s, but I'd still have to do that manually for each roll since Phantom Roll isn't a single status effect.

edit: Hell, even without any extra gear/merits inputted, it seems BuffDuration doesn't even have Phantom Roll's base duration at all.

I still had specific macro binds for that character when I tabbed over, so finer control was still an option if absolutely needed. As a march or cure bitch, I honestly didn't demand much out of the alt even though I could've easily adapt my main's macro system to it (I didn't use spellcast).

The question is, why not use SpellCast? It seems perfect for that, just being able to say "//send mule //c6 main" instead of having to worry about things like quotes. Because of that, I personally wasn't even aware of the quoting issue. Not saying this is a fix for it or anything, just saying it's probably the best way around this issue for now.

I created an alias file that I execute when I know I'm gonna need it, all aliases are 1-4 characters.

alias 1 send mulename cure1 main
alias 2 send mulename cure2 main
alias h send mulename haste main
alias hm send mulename haste mulename
alias g1 send mulename curaga1 main
    alias sub send mulename sublimation
alias f send mulename exec follow.txt (which fires off a file that targets main, locks on, and follows.)

I have more, some aliases for single target cures for people I frequently do events with, etc, but this gives a general idea of what I use for send. I really love send, and stna for that matter, and is the only reason I put up with the lower fps with Windower4 over Windower3.

Obviously these use spellcast, but even if you don't want to use it for gear swapping, just having the plugin loaded to use simple spell commands is worth it IMO.

Certain actions seem to cause the timers box background to overlay the entire window rather than just the section you tell it to.

Nightingale is one of them, iirc.

This so much. I want to run around in my town gear when in town, but yet every time I interact with an npc it puts me back into idle gear. Trading to the magian chest in Ru'lude, using maw, OP/VW warping, entering MH from Ru'lude, storing gear... you name it.

Also - and I apologize if this has been asked and answered already - but is there a way to reposition BuffDuration bars?

not to mention the game crashes you get because spellcast attempts to change gear while zoneing due to this in some occasions

The reason its happening is because when you talk to an NPC, autoset is changing your status to Event (used to be called Zoning). and then when the onversation is over autoset is switching you back to Idle.

If you have any autoset rules or <equip when="Idle"> stuff, it's gonna trigger and equip your idle gear, so if you want town gear, then you will have to modify your rules.

The only reason spellcast will change gear during your NPC interactions if your xml tells it to do so. I'm guessing you have something like <equip when="all" set="%status"> in your xml. If so, you should probably change it.

The reason its happening now and never did before is because they fixed it. (it should've been this way all along)

yeah I have an autoset rule for when I go Idle after a spell, cast etc. I had that before too, it just started happening after the expansion hit and I didnt change the rules of my xmls at all
