WotGs windurst story was meant to be epic.. and it really was.. not just CS wise, but also in terms of its portrayal of characters we already know to exist. Karuha, Romaa Mihgo, Perih Vashai, young Ajido... and of course Shantotto. Lotsa flair and scenes of battles and fireworks.

I did enjoy that one the most too.
but Sandy's and Bastok's weren't too bad either.
I liked Bastok's cos of its political intrigue and whodunnit story. I'm probably biased cos I'm Bastokan.. but its very nice to see prominent character beginnings. Also I happen to think Klara is cool. There must be something about dressing like a lv20 mofo and fucking shit up.

Bastok's story was way worse than Windurst for the original rank missions. It didn't get interesting till the end and was mostly filled with: Zeid being emo, Volker being emo about Zeid being emo, Volker being emo about his douchebag uncle, Naji being an idiot, Gumba being emo about his boyfriend Warei, and getting a fat guy food not once but twice.

I'd say windy and sandy tied for best original rank missions. As far as WotG nation quests, I liked all 3 of them, but windy was the best. Sandy was a close second and bastok took forever to get off the ground again but was still better than the rank missions. At least you know why Zeid is so emo in that one.
