FFXI windower size and resolution for laptop?

I'm using a 1366x768 resolution laptop and want to play FFXI using windower, what's a good size/ratio to play in? I've been using an arbitrary 1024 600 resolution so I can read/search wiki simultaneously but I was told I should use a preset ratio i.e 1024x768 or 800x600 but these are either too large or too small(1024x768 makes the vertical range too big that it's hard to click on my taskbar or move the window around and 800x600 is too small that I can't become immersed.

Also I can't seem to get a straight answer but I was told that my background resolution should be the same number, i.e 2024x2024 and not just my window resolution multiplied by 2, but which is it? Should I set the X/Y for background resolution as the same number(people said it puts less strain on my computer) or should i just multiply my window resolution by 2 for double sampling?

I used 940x705. You can use any resolution you want, it doesn't have to correspond to any standard resolution. Just make sure the aspect ratio conforms to one that the game is native to (4:3, 16:9, 16:10, maybe some others I dunno.) Multiply by 2 for oversampling.

So for example would 1024x576 work? Then for background put 2048x1152? Also does increasing mipmaps make you more laggy or less laggy? I'm currently at 3 mipmaps, wondering if I should alter it or not. Thanks for the help!
