just out of curiosity archi do you actually think he's clean or you just think there's no legal recourse for them to apprehend him?
He's a really productive professional athlete. Of course I think he uses PEDs.
I also think their case is weak, which is pretty apparent. Bosch supposedly never met these players in person, so I think without additional people providing testimony (couriers, etc) they'll have a tough time demonstrating that Braun was in possession of any banned substances.
Fair enough. The problem as I see it is that Bud Selig is making this a hot button issue because he wants baseball in the Olympics. The head of the World Anti Doping Administration (WADA - all Olympic sports must meet their standards), whose name happens to be Dick Pound, or at least he WAS the head - not sure if still is - has openly called baseball's drug testing regulations a farce, and publicly shamed the MLB following the non-suspension of Braun the first time around.
That said, MLBPA is pretty powerful. This could get ugly if he tries to do something that the CBA no likey.
I think your view on professional athletes with strong production is fatalistic, but I guess I see where you're coming from.
I'm just saying - gun to your head, name any MLB or NFL all-star - if I have to guess, I'm going to say "yeah, he's using a PED".
Also I'm stuck at work with only ESPN to watch. Curt Schilling talking about John Lackey just makes me sad, it's like he sees himself in the tubby has-been on the hill for Boston.![]()
JULIO BOURBON > JULIO IRAN
lol you spelled it wrong and no
I actually wasted a draft pick on him once![]()
It's ok.
after tomorrow night Appel/Gray > Iran
Started watching the highlights of Iran's outing and couldn't make it through one out. Chip Carey is hands down the worst
I love that pic
Strasburg to the DL
I wanted the Nats to fail, partly because all the bandwagon fans are annoying, and partly because the whole shutting down Stras thing last year was fucking retarded.
But now all the "old baseball" people talking about how you have to "earn respect" and "earn trips to the playoffs" with their Nats schadenfreude are even more annoying. When Michael Wilbon said something about how Stras and Harper being out "really hurts the '27 Yankees" I wanted him to die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.
