I like how they're supposedly giving him two options - be suspended for the rest of this year and all of next year, or be suspended for life.

He's taking a big risk though if he goes to arbitration on the life thing - if he's just suspended for a year and a half he can still collect the last like 80M of his contract. For life and it's all gone.

Also MLB leaking every last detail of this suspension shit is disgusting.

Hoping they throw the book at ARod and he eats the lifetime ban. One of my favorite players to watch play, but that contract is an abomination. At the least it looks like they'll be off the hook for his 2014 salary which is awesome considering they could use that to improve this shitty team.

I would be quite surprised if the NYY were not a driving force behind the push to get ARod the lifetime ban. It's pretty much a necessity for them if they want to be under the luxury tax cap like they wish to be.

Fantasy baseball question I'm debating. Was offered Max Scherzer for Chris Davis trade today and debating on whether or not to go with it. I'm top 3 in runs, hr's, and rbi but I'm close to the bottom in K's, W's, and middle of the pack in ERA. Any thoughts? I have Trumbo and Chris Johnson both who can play 1B where I have Davis currently and plenty of OF's to fill those spots.
