Gratz to ryno
Glad he ain't here.
Not that it's a surprise, but just strange timing, the Philadelphia Phillies have fired Charlie Manuel.
I dunno why they didn't let him finish out the last month
Um, it worked brilliantly, as soon as Braun's name was mentioned everyone forgot about the other 12 players on the list for like 2 straight months.
But hey, since we all liked seeing Braun go down, that means A Rod is a hero and should be applauded for breaking the baseball code of silence and speaking up against those evil steroid users! He's clearly really turned a corner.
According to ESPN Manuel leaving was Rubio's decision. He wanted to finish the season but since Rubio decided they were not going to keep him around, they were just going to cut him now and give Sandberg the reigns and see what he does.
That's just dumb. You won't learn anything in a month.
When lou thankfully retired they let mike quade manage the team and the team went something like 27-13 to finish the year. They removed the interim tag and he preceded to manage a 100 loss team.

Exactly. Sandberg is in a no win situation. The Phillies have some pieces in place, but they are handcuffed by some shitty contracts like Howard. Yea, the Cubs suck but at least Theo is cleaning house. If he keeps doing his thing and it pans out, and the Cards/Reds/Pirates don't regress, the NL Central is going to be disgusting in a few years.
I'm not real happy about the Charlie Manual firing. He's had a shit roster to work with this year and Ryne Sandberg isn't gonna do any better the last 6 weeks. The man won a World Series, he at least deserves to play out his contract to the end of the year.

Lol, the Braves really shouldn't be drilling Bryce Harper over and over, I don't get it. Then again, the Natinals broadcast crew really went a little overboard with the "ZOMG DEY DID IT AGAIN"
Avilan hit Harper around the neck area though..or right below it, so that's not good, but jesus.
I doubt it's intentional but who knows, strange regardless
I love how we shit out good starters like it's nothing. oh, Maholm and Huddy out? Alex Wood, step right up. 51 innings of 2.61 ERA? NP.
Spoiler: show
The Korean first pitch game keeps getting stepped up this year. Magician Choi Hyun-woo dropped this gem last night.

yikes.
Probably means Braun wouldn't be in the MLB without the stuff.
I'd hate to be a brewers fan.
