Admires his handiwork in Gomez-esque fashion, McCann or Freeman starts barking to "start running", he starts barking back as he rounds the bases, points to his knee (which Maholm hit earlier this season) and keeps barking back. As he approaches home, McCann has made his way 10 feet up the 3rd base line to meet him along with the ump, they start barking, benches clear (Gomez still hasn't touched home plate) Reed Johnson barges through throwing an elbow or something at Gomez, everyone else mills around. Gomez was given the home run due to McCann's obstruction.
Gomez and Freddy Freeman (for some reason) and Gerald Laird (for some reason) were ejected. For some reason McCann and Reed Johnson weren't.
Typical baseball-police shit from the Braves, basically, compounded by incompetent umps.
And then they got dominated by Kyle Lohse in 89 pitches.
