Apology not accepted, as it's meaningless. I don't know if you followed that link I provided, but the abundance of responses clarify why and how your behavior is bigoted, and how the "I can't be homophobic if I have homosexual friends" excuse is tired and insignificant.

You're straight, as you've demonstrated. Among straight people, there are metrosexuals, cross-dressers, hipsters, drunkards, druggies, abusers, and everything else you can imagine. You may not like one of those groups. Because of that, do you consider all other straight people by saying: "why are some of you druggies? When are you going to stop doing that? This is why I don't like straight people." No? You don't do that? Congratulations, you are a hypocritical bigot.

There isn't any in-depth discussion to be had with you, and no amount of politeness will mask that fact. You can dislike flamboyant displays, but if you don't dislike them across the board, you are bigoted. You can think there's something wrong with gays kissing in public, but if you don't mind straight people kissing in public, you're bigoted. I could go on, but I hope you get the idea.

    TL;DR: You are a bigot.

Do you have a problem with people flying an american (or any other country's) flag? I mean, they only do it BECAUSE other similar people do it.

If you're not trolling, just talk with more gay people in real life and ask them what their experiences have been. Were they ever physically attacked for being gay? Did their parents ever reject them? Did their parents ever make homophobic comments and how did that make them feel? What was it like to have to witness a constant putting down of gay people in front of them while they hid in the closet? That will help you understand far better than simple words on the internet ever could.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

I mean, just because they're gay, do they have to wear rainbows(Unless you actually like rainbows), must they say "Oh muh god" in a woman voice all the time(This referring to the men, ofc.), must they all hate being born the gender that they are? Why can't they just be a dude who likes dick, or a woman who likes Vajay?(I guess this is more touching on transgender, but hopefully at least some of you KIND of get what I'm trying to point at.) Can't they be like the normal gays, who don't go out of their way to blatantly tell everyone they encounter that they swing that way, and live a normal life? And not treat a sexual preference as a way to be outcasted.

I didn't think with all the fucked up shit on BG people would get this upset over a touchy question. When I asked it I honestly did not, whether people believe or not mean for it to the point it had. It's like this pretty much. Two issues are brought up: One kid gets fucked with for having thick ass glasses. The other gets picked on for being gay. The later is escalated so much higher, despite both kids feeling just as left out and feeling just as depressed.

I fractured my gay roomates skull freshman year of college with a supersized jug of JIF. It was only a hate crime if you consider people-who-drink-all-the-beer a protected group.

    Except not.

The majority of people in the world do not believe that children should be abused simply because they are wearing glasses. Therefore, such a child is much more likely to find support, whether at home, in friends, or online. Although tragedies happen, they are far less frequent for someone of this group you've presented. In fact, the worst that they may find is an Internet commentator saying "toughen up, kid," which is not very helpful to a legitimately depressed individual, but is nonetheless not targeting them for their very nature.

On the other hand, a gay child lives in a world where they do not have the same rights as straight people do in first world countries, and may in fact be lynched and/or killed in others. They are often told that they are wrong for existing. They may be told that their behavior can be "fixed." Depending upon the part of the world they live in, they may forever be forced to live a lie, pretending that they are straight to secure equal rights, treatment, employment, and so on.

Meanwhile, the other kid can buy a new pair of glasses, or get contacts.

If you're going to try to present an argument, don't be such a hopeless idiot about it. The people here aren't upset so much as they are flabbergasted by your terribleness. Do you want to liken it to something that's probably familiar to you? Let's do that, then: do you find yourself confused by gimpy players in FFXI, despite the fact that knowledge is out there, and easily accessed? Do you not understand why they refuse to learn, and why they think that their behavior is all right? Do you think they're lazy?

In relation to homosexual rights, that's you. You are the lazy gimp who refuses to learn and believes that everyone should be just like you, and that anyone who disagrees, despite any experiences, proof, etc., that they may have, is clearly speaking nonsense.

This post and your previous long one in a testament to how little you truly know about the lgbtqa population and what it fights for. That is OK though; It isn't something easily understood. I was working with nyc kids 18-25 in this population for 4 months and probably only scratched the surface. Yes it is about equality but it is also about freedom and embracing what this country and its culture promotes. The trade-off is how employable/accepted in mainstream those persons become and so that is yet another uphill battle (and another topic altogether). The fight is on so many fronts and it isn't simply about seeking attention or being flamboyant. That is simply how those people are and until you "get that" (I still struggle with this piece at times too) the rest will be far too difficult to explain to you.

    Eh.

Being able to enjoy rights granted to human beings in this country is one thing and an important thing.

Expecting people/employers to accept you for who you are in regards to behavior undertaken completely by choice is another (being publicly flamboyant/attention seeking/etc whatever).

I agree. Of course, what Harajuku is saying lumps in all gays, which is the problem. If they thought that anyone and everyone being flamboyant would make his dick (or nipples, whichever) shrivel, that's fine. Talking about those crazy gays and wondering when they'll get their shit together is problematic, though.

I wouldn't want someone to enter a workplace dressed in a thong, high heels, and nothing else to be taken seriously (unless they're in adult entertainment). If they dress that way otherwise, however, I would find it difficult to care.
