I never said it was a great idea, just that they maybe had envisioned it. For example they envision Dark Knights would cast spells frequently and therefore give them traits like Occult Acumen. Also they supposedly lowered aoe damage, and monster parameters in general in most of endgame events, or so they said in the update notes.
Can Indi be dispelled? That may be the balance they're thinking of, the buffs are weaker but they're immune to dispel mechanics. The GEO doesn't get an icon for using Indi, they just get the icon for being in range of the effect (like the "You're benefitting from someone else's sphere" icon). If the GEO is using a debuffing Indi, there's no icon at all.
I'm assuming they cannot be dispelled. GEO doesn't have a "master" buff that gives it to everyone else, it's just the sphere.
It's a good point, but if you're zerging something that happens to AOE dispell everything 15%+ attack isn't gonna help -that- much when the DD have no other buffs.
Give them an undispellable 30% Haste and we'll talk. Otherwise that's hardly even an asset.
True, and the only fight I can think of that dispels everything highly often is Odin V2. We've been trying with a melee setup using Embrava for that reason, since it can't be dispelled (only overwritten by Kaustra), so it may be interesting to try that again now that Embrava's duration is short. I assume eventually we'll have handballs like brd has instruments "Precision+5" or "Voidance+2" etc.
Even if you're zerging Odin and he manages to get off a dispellga, the fight is over~ and his AoE would shred a GEO to pieces.
Well, fingers crossed the do some tweaking with the % of buffs and give us something notable. I want them to add a master sphere icon too. It's annoying when I have multiple buffs on to see what I'm actually receiving/giving people.
Skillup update: 409 combined: Attack is giving 7.9~8% now.
Edit: 416 gives +12 to STR etc.
I want to go ahead and blame the strength of the buffs on nothing for the job being on the test server. The only thing to do is Geo/Pld with a Genbu's shield.
Has anyone done any testing with the MP return on Full Circle? It doesn't look like a full % return on casting cost, so what's the deal?
=Edit=
And a bell for every damn buff is my biggest fear for how this job will turn out. I HOPE they realize how shit our inventories are by now.
Id rather have a few bells to choose from, rather than 1 or 2 bells that you basically have to have and do shit (kinda like the animator)
Either a bell increase your buff range from 6' to 20+' (this seems impossible to SE)
or... only give buffs to back line jobs? (2buffs max anyway)
Unless... like other said, GEO can (melee?!) be in range of AOE, with PDT gears. and not being torn in pieces while swing the "Bell"!
Without Merits/ Artifacts/ New Bells, currently GEO is more like "A new job to play, but End Game - no thanks yet" !
Correct me, if I'm wrong. GEO only has one DOT spell? Has any high level test the DOT dmg?
@ Slycer / Bryth,
U might want to amend the Garlaige Citadel location - description. My bad....
VW Warp/ [S] Maw, zone in -> to H-8.
the word Basement is a bit misleading.
remember that all the current numbers on buff % are without the JAs that geo uses to enhance their buffs if I'm not mistaken. Blaze of Glory, Bolster(2hr), and the third whose name escapes me now herp. BTW the third one and bolster does not stack iirc
Those JA's are also on fairly long timers. Best hope is for buffs to all get formula changes once you break a certain tier of combined skill.
Also, need to remember this -
Your Luopan can take dmg from AOE also. Treat them like your pet....
although healing salve or whatever is called doesn't work on them(I know you just meant like pets not actually pets), too bad we can't just dawn mulsim them XD
yea, sorry to confuse... It's a "pet" but not a real one... that's a shamed... lolz
