Well, one thing they could do that would work is make an ability that works the same way Concentric Pulse works, only it heals allies instead of damages enemies when it disappears. That seem like a potential merit ability though.

560 is a definite tier level~
10.10% Attack
13.9% Defense
4MP/tick
28HP/tick
15STR
Someone added tables etc onto the bg wiki page for GEO so moving JA details etc over to there~
So as it stands now, how should we gear GEO for Lv. 99 use?
What stats should we stack up on? INT? MND? CHR? Or should we equip as much MP+ gear as possible?
lol
At best it seems that GEO could replace a BRD in a BLM PT, if people used BLM parties for anything anymore. I hope the Naakuls are hard fights that require balanced alliances and skill though.
Reminds me of smn when Diablos favor came out.
The Naakuls fights are reives, in a nutshell it'll be the same experience as WoE battles
-Anyone can enter
-Anyone can engage
-Retards will hurt skilled alliances
-SMN / BST x1000
Not guranteed it's like that, but it's quite honestly very likely to be that. The fights are not instanced, the Naakuls are up and roaming, (with reive status) as seen via third party tools (Screenshot of Achuka in the colonization thread, page5)
What that means is once they're unlocked, anyone with required KI can basically run in and participate, I imagine.
If it requires a KI to enter, maybe it only allows an alliance.
/SCH seems to be be pretty fitting for Geomancer, giving access to helix spells (Geohelix lol) and weather, which always seemed more like a Geomancer thing to me. Though having B enfeebling from /SCH doesn't really do any good with no enfeebling spellsthe increase in dark magic and elemental do help though, and the stratagems can be used for the -ra nukes. As well as the self-preservation spells GEO desperately lacks (Stoneskin, etc.) and a few cures.
They'll probably buff Geo later. Corsair buffs were pretty mundane when it came out too, then they decided to buff them a lot because of the randomness of the values.
I'm using standard mage sets pretty much for now, I use a fastcast set with some occ quickens cast time pieces for Indi and Geo which will do for now until AF1/AF2/AF3.
Excited to get my skills capped and take it too events, although feeling slightly overwhelmed with the pure magnitude of spells I need to get used too but that shouldn't take long.
I doubt GEO will be very useful until the next update. With the way the buffs currently look they wont even come close to that of a COR or NQ BRD, let alone a Harp BRD. With the addition of merits and the Artifact, Relic and Empyrean gear GEO will (hopefully) get the boost it needs to become a competitive buffer.
/SCH seems to be the most viable subjob atm as it gives access to enfeebling skill (mainly for sleep), light arts for cure and stratagems. It shares the same non JSE gear as BLM so it can have a pretty well rounded nuking set~
Why not /rdm for refresh and buffs and some mab for nukes?
Depends what you're doing really. If you have absolutely no need for enfeebling magic, and are doing lower level content then I'm sure RDM will work well as a subjob, however between weather, and arts and stratagems /SCH will probably work out better.
Personally I'd go for GEO/SCH.
