So, does no one have geo with 10/10 MAB Job Points that can test if it's working? With or without both MAB gifts is fine, but with both gifts is preferable since that is the category I'm in experiencing the issue.
Does anyone know if the new augments of pet: regen effect loupon?
or any pet aug for that matter?
thats what i was thinking, i tested pet regen +2 and i didnt see a differance. hmm time to spend more money and see if i can make the dot stop. this also makes me wonder if the dot isnt a set amount or it is a % removed per tick
Mathy parts has how much it removes a tick and some info on the regen somewhere
24 HP/tick, iirc
I am sure this isn't the best thread and it has been asked before, but any tips for bayld farming? I am selling most things from skirmish and gil is stacking up but just looking at ffxiah and about 80% of the listings are people attempting to raise the price (30k on my server, people trying to raise it to 40k, and fuck 500+mil jesus). There are a handful of listings at 30k, and usually 1 at a time and could be outdated. Simply farming up gil and buying hp bayld isn't exactly the best strategy. Marjami reives get farmed pretty hard from what I've seen, and Foret and the like go down very quickly. Yorcia is a pain to get around in, wondering if Ra'kaznar offers a solid reive farming route? I know some people that bot Kamihr, so not sure that's a good idea, either. It's just getting frustrating that farming 400mil doesn't even seem like the "hard" part, but finding 13k hp bayld itself is. Is my best just going to be to make the gil and shout for people to turn bayld into HP?
Innerr Ra'kaznar is usually fairly empty could try there. There isn't really the same kind of farming route but you get decent amounts per kill. The lairs I do are 2.7-3.4k per kill depending on which one you do. I used to do some quick skirmish runs for balyd but man prices are so crazy right now it's definitely not worth it
Depends on what you do... I got DD neck on my main and I kind of regret it since 99.99% of my reives is casing AoE spells. And when I do melee that extra ws dmg doesn't really make that much a difference
The damage would work with Earth Crusher, right? I seem to just do that with my GEO, melee with staff, hit some AOE spells and earth crusher when I get tp, it's such obscene damage. I was thinking of getting the DT one simply to lock in during WKR's, once a campaign comes back around those will be more lucrative to farm.
Yeah should work with any ws. dt one could be fun just get next to the nm and set yourself to rr over and over. Dying is such good points lol

Geomancers do not have to take an action on the mob for their luopan to take effect, if the luopan itself is on the mobs hate list.
The above picture was taken in the new alluvion skirmish.
I cast Geo-Poison on the stronghold to see if the summoned mobs would spawn, and then tick down to 99% (they did not, probably because of some sort of resist that I hadn't considered ahead of time.) Since my original hypothesis went poorly, I decided to Geo-Wilt and see if the Luopan took less damage. Again, I casted directly on the Stronghold. It did in fact take less damage!
Based on this finding I am curious to know if a luopan is hit by some sort of AoE if it is added to the monsters hate list, and can therefore take effect without the GEO doing anything other than casting it on a different mob.
Silly question about offensive geomancy spells. Let's take Malaise for our example.
You have either Indi or Geo Malaise up.
You're not in enemy X's enmity list, neither is your luopan if you're using one.
You cast a spell on X.
As soon as you complete the action (the spell is cast and hits the target) you will enter into X's enmity list.
What comes first though? You hitting the mob and THEN entering in the enmity list? Is it the other way around?
I'm wondering for a simple reason. On that first spell being cast, would Malaise apply? Or would it apply from every following spell after the first one (which gets you into the enmity list)?
Malaise will not apply to the spell that adds you to the hate list. It takes a good 3 seconds or so for a coloure effect to be applied after putting it up, or getting on the hatelist.
This tends to make malaise less than useful in the new skirmish, since you'd have to "double tap" all the mobs, rather than just one-shotting them. :/
