recast, yarnball broke for 4.0?...
recast, yarnball broke for 4.0?...
Timers is Recast, Yarnball doesn't exist.
not seeing it on windower site..
nvm i found it.
How can you live w/o yarnball...?
I watch StatusTimer, personally. My HP also doesn't drop to 0 the moment a buff wears off, so you can tell that way too.
I think there's a Lua fill-in for yarnball-esque functionality. Yarnball is being worked on for Winodwer 4, but it doesn't exist currently.
Got the updated spellcast and <st> still isn't fixed. Also noticed that spellcast makes a lot of Run abilities unusable until you unload it.
Attainment 2.251 in 3.4 is still not working. Lights/Time don't show correctly in abyssea.
Don't care about lights, but be nice if the Time showed up (right now I think it actually shows your pearlescent value as your time)
So I downloaded and installed the 3.x fix. And now when plugins auto load randomly I sometimes get "Critical Error: Failed to find target" and the plug in doesn't do anything. So far it's only happens with tparty and spellcast and if it's spellcast if I try to do something it will crash me unless I unload and reload till I get no error. Though so far I've only gotten the error on auto loading
Nevermind. Figured it out.
(New thread for Clipper noted.)
I know that other things are being fixed and dealt with so I know that Clipper isn't really the main topic here but for those of you that are finding yourselves unable to wait for it, I just realized that instead of waiting and waiting you could also help me come up with options and stuff for Clipper. You can discuss with each other here (if that's all right) or PM me suggestions (or Skype), etc. I'll note them all down and by the time I get to work on it, the decisions will prolly be made. Just an idea/thought/jpg/mp4/mov/png/avi/m4a/ts/poop.
I'm talking about the options that will let you set up Clipper the way you would like it to be.
For example, some people like the window to stay on top, some don't, some want hotkeys, some want to be able to run multiple instances of Clipper, Some only want some of the features on the main window, some there to be a tray icon, some want the window not to show up on the taskbar, some don't want any borders on the window, some people want to change the way the speed bar works (scale and such), change the amount of space the teleport buttons move, etc.
You know, like maybe there will be an "easy" options window and an "advanced" options window. People like simplicity, so maybe nobody wants to see all that krazy scheiße.
My goal is to be able to try and hear most (can't be everyone's) people's requests, both advanced and simple.
Hotkeys so I don't have to Alt-Tab every time I want to change my speed or switch to Maintenance mode would be amazing
I liked how it was before the bork. Sweet and simple but could see how having the option to have um more options could be nifty as long as it doesn't force you to be more complicated or do other things
Being able to change speeds or change settings via keyboard commands/hotkeys would be awesome.
Yes, I noted down that it should remain simple for those that want it be simple. I don't want to force anyone to have to use these options. The funny thing is, however, that being forced to use the options might actually make it even simpler lol. I know what is meant, though. SO there will be default settings that are actually just leaving Clipper as it was before being broken.
There should be hotkeys to increase/decrease speed right? What about a hotkey to set the speed to something you chose in the options?
ideas idea ideas
Don't know if you saw the image

I moved excluded names and settings for the window and position control away cause i felt those would be better in the options. The problem is deciding which of these options should be global and which should go for each character.
Like the excluded names, for ex., should the excluded names be used for every character or should they be used for just one character?
I could have a listbox with all of the characters name, and you would have the options on the left and the listbox on the right, and whoever's name you had selected on the right is who would take those settings into effect for example.
You also have to take into account cpu / memory impact on having more and more options lol
It's all very complex 8) [mostly because you want to try and find the most efficient way to do something]
Honestly I'm fine with whatever makes it be released faster. I was 100% satisfied with what the old one had.
qqurrrrrrl i thought i was hacked for a sec *snaps fingers*
Just choose whatever method addresses the majority scenario. Most people are going to want the same exclusions for multiple characters because just about everyone who has multiple characters is going to be 2/3-boxing them together rather than playing on different servers simultaneously. You should also have exclusions for what zone the player is in, people should have the ability to force auto-disable to never trigger when you're in NNI and then trigger immediately when you leave it regardless of other players being detected. These settings should also be saved (per character and globally) in a local config file so that people can easily edit them and transfer them between computers.
Auto-disable should trigger immediately when changing zones and when warping inside of a zone (think fluxes in Abyssea) because the NPCMAP doesn't immediately load other nearby players and they might see you flying by before they load for you and trigger your auto-disable. The time delay when zoning and warping within a zone should be set by the user (10 seconds is usually fine).
There should be an option to use auto-disable with ja0wait. Sliding along the ground while you start and stop healing is a more obvious tell than moving at 112% speed when not wearing gaiters. There should also be an option to prevent movement when bound (either always or only when auto-disable is also triggered). Sliding around while bound (or when wearing a mimic costume) is not a good thing. It would also be nice to have options to trigger auto-disable when not-invis'd and/or not-sneaked for users who like to be extra careful.
There should be some kind of status bar that lets you know when auto-disable is being triggered and why. It should give the name of the player (or zone after you implement that) that triggered it, and display (Exclusion) if it's not being triggered due to the zone or another player being on your exclusion list.
Enabling GM Flag should still allow you to check your own bazaar. Useful when trying to update your FFXIAH bazaar list via Guildwork or just checking to make sure that prices are correct.
Fix auto-disable speed so that you don't have to constantly change it to handle whatever movement speed you should be at. It should recognize buffs like mazurka, flee, quickening, chocobo, etc. and never set your speed below what it would be normally when these buffs are active (including those that can stack). You should have an editable list of equipment with move speeds associated so that the player's gear is taken into consideration when deciding what auto-disable speed to use, ie: Blood Cuisses, 12. This part can be tricky because the speed given to you by a buff can depend on the number of a roll (Bolter's Roll) or the type of song used (Chocobo vs. Raptor Mazurka) so you may need to parse the Chatlog to determine the correct speed modifier to apply based on active buffs.
Hotkeys should cover realistic needs like toggling maintenance mode, ja0wait and speed functionality as well as increasing and decreasing movement speed incrementally.
