    I am curious what Foil can do with some of those more obvious moves. The ability to resist status ailments on these mobs would help, no?

    Between foil and flash might be able to evade some of the physical. Resist stuff is nice but part of it is finding it's element and hoping that element is the same as other debuffs or the magic dmg. That said none of his debuffs seem too bad other than weakness... if you could resist that it would be pretty boss

    So I decided to test some vallation/valliance merits. Got an EM worm at 0 dint and let it cast on me. No buffs 3 runes up
    Code:
                 no wards     ward no merits      2 merits     4 merits

    From that you get about 47 to a little over 47% reduction with 2 merits and 3 runes or 49 to a little over 49% with 4 merits. No merits would've been 45%... so while it says it provides an additional point of dmg reduction per rune harbored it seems more like 1% per merit for 3 runes. Not sure if bug or just bad translation

    So with full merits 3 runes it should be 50% reduction. With full mdt that would be 75% dmg reduction exactly half of aegis. Get a good resist rate and should be about the same almost...

    Hm, you could try and post that as a bug in the OF... Maybe it's unintended because if not, it's a pretty stingy deal. 1 per rune would have been a lot nicer, as it would be the equivalent of an additional rune.

    Maybe with the updated resist rates, meriting rune potency will actually be better?

    Can anyone with access to test server test if the new GS skill on senbaak affect lunge dmg ?

    Also with so much att/acc buff, run damage is pretty even to drk dmg on spreadsheet!

    Oh well then you basically giving 2 gswd jobs auto capped acc/att and one gains a tiny bit more haste I guess? No wonder they are close lol

    I think Run has better tp gear if acc/att are capped and having haste samba favor run too! Gonna try to check with haste samba/better buff/ja later/tomorrow and see!

    Still no one with test server access to test Lunge D

    Wait how is haste samba better than hasso? Or you putting a dnc in the pt to make it so it caps haste too taking away the little advantage you would've let drk have lol? Cause at this point you pratically saying run is almost as good a DD as a drk that doesn't use any job abilities <.<

    no using cor/dnc or bst/dnc ! I actually have run higher w/o including lunge(lol), but need to make a drk set assuming souleater and see how much better it is.

    You still gain from haste samba while having runes on? Runes generally do better on more things than endark, but just misses the nice att buff. With the huge gs+ skill, the att buff matters a lot less until mobs with even more defense are implemented.

    Don't need to do this on the test server. The formula for Lunge should still be valid as a subjob.
    Having access to only two Runes is actually pretty convenient because your expected damage should be exactly double your skill level.

    According to BGWiki on Lunge:
    Single Hit Damage = ( Main-hand weapon Skill × (0.5 + Number of Runes × 0.25) ) × Magic Multiplier Terms

    So for a weapon with 440 skill and two runes expended, you should expect 880 damage.
    With skill pumped up to a total of 668 with Oatixur for instance, you should expect to come up with 1336 damage.

    I'd test this myself, but I chose Tamaxchi rather than Ixtab or Xbalanque, and having MAB (or even Magic Damage, who knows) on a weapon will probably skew the expected result.

    1st RUN AF Quest. NPC who unlocked the job for you gives you "Ephemeral Endeavor" KI and sends you to Rala Waterways. Still looking where you need to be.

    Yeah just found that out. You have to finish the limit break quest before you can do the AF quest it seems. Flagged the next quest and now trying to find this "Legendary Blacksmith" for the next part of the quest.

    Interesting note I did report the vallation merits as being bugged... no response as of yet. Wonder how much that awesome looking body will add... on top of all that elemental resist and magic evasion (why they didn't just add more magic evasion beats me since it effectively is resist all elements) and int/mnd etc to lower dmg more. Me thinks its time to dust of Run
