The AF2 quests kind of suggests that maybe the Archduke was a RUN of sorts, given that Zilartian technology was compatible with runes and his unique abilities.
I just did the Orobon NM fight this morning.. started out with a party of 6 and ended with an Alliance of 18. Took like 30 mins to kill.. a good amount of dying happened lol.
A SMN joined half way through which really sped up the fight. It also made life easier for the 2 WHMs and the BLM. The SMN and BLM were laying a good smack down on the NM while myself and a handful of RUNs chipped away at it Lunge.
I guessing that RDM SCH BLM WHM SMN BST and maybe PUP w/ mage pup would be the good jobs to have for this fight.
Our BLM did most of the kiting while people were charmed.. used sleep and breakga to slow charmed people down. I also noticed some of the RUNs were resisting charm but that got them killed when the NM sent charmed players to attack.
Good fight though.
Orobon's DT is based on Mayhem Lantern. Every time it uses that, it gains PDT.
100% -> 75% -> 50% -> 25% -> 12.5% -> 5% -> 1%(?)
If you kill it quickly and get lucky with the TP move roulette, you can zerg it down in about a minute.
KRT was a combo, I forget what exactly, but it was 3 different runes and order seemed to matter.Quote Originally Posted by Cube View Post

Thought I'd just say, there's three:
stone of unknown runic origins
A rune stone recovered from an enigmatic contraption in King Ranperre's Tomb.
In the dats.
The other two mention Fei'Yin and Ranguemont Pass, so it's a possibility there's something there.
I don't get how you people have orobon fights that even get off 1 mayhem let alone multiples.
Because Mayhem is instant, he's got like 100k hp, and decent defense?
Not everyone brings an alliance to kill stuff.
I'm completely retarded and thought I clicked on the delve thread. I'm sorry.
When you click them, they tell you the elements you need and the order you stack them.
For instance in KRT, it says; "The device emits a burst of air, a clammy moisture, and raging heat."
...and so you would select the Runes Strong against those things, which I assumed everyone already knew? -- Gelus, Sulpor, and Unda.
Fei Yen: Freezing Sensation, Electric Bolts, and Blinding Refulgence -- Ignis, Tellus, Tenebrae
Rangemount: Earthy Aroma, a Finger-Freezing Sensation, and Nothing but Blackness. -- Flabra, Ignis, Lux
Interesting story stuff too...
Reward was 22k Bayld.
i wonder if quest is even more rewarding with those malfunctioning-apparatus KIs..
So the Beorc Sword is just a Sowilo Claymore skin. I guess the vagina sword from the SoA teasers/trailers is their Mythic or something.
Eh, no, it isn't. Maybe you meant a Coalition Sword? The model looks good, so even while understandable, it's a pity that I can't use that one instead of the Bereaver.
It even matches the AF ;_;
So, regarding resisting enfeebling magic, would something with high magic evasion such as Uk'uxkaj Cap outperform Flawless Ribbon? Trying to build a set that I can quickly swap in to before AoE enfeebles or certain enfeebling TP moves go off to try and resist them. Also, magic evasion or elemental resist? I'd imagine the immense amounts of magic evasion on the newer gear would win out over something that doesn't give the equivalent amount in elemental resist unless elemental resist is somehow stronger. Just curious, since before Rune Fencer I've never really actively tried to resist enfeebles, but with these AF pants it's become more than likely to resist them and I want to try and maximize that.
I don't think anyone knows how much +resistance Flawless gives.
+MEVA is just +all ele resist (i.e. +1 MEVA= +1 fire resist, +1 water resist, etc).Also, magic evasion or elemental resist? Hm, it may be more useful than it first appears coupled with other resistance gear. I know that the AF pants are very strong, but I suppose they also have a decent amount of +MEVA.
Tthe AF pants along with enhanced pflug from the feet with 3x Tellus + Barthunder made me 100% resist all stuns from ironclad auto-attacks in legion, wasn't stunned a single time from thunderstrike or the one fulmination that got off of the khim in another chamber, and also was never stunned by the behemoth's thunderbolt in another chamber. I'm really having a blast being immune to certain debuffs. Also outright resisted both the curse and poison of Nerve Gas with 3x Lux/Pflug -> swap to 3 Sulpor + Barpoison in the Hydra chamber.
I pretty much just swapped out Manibozho 15 legs for legion chambers since I know all the enfeebles that are coming from each mob. While other DDs sit there stunned forever I'm still able to reso the night away. Also was taking 33~300 damage from Gates of Hades in DD gear with the proper runes/bar/etc. Pretty awesome. Sure, Legion is a bit outdated of an event, but the synth materials are still semi-relevant. Foil and Flash also let me evade some TP moves and Ixion tramples. Also was able to reduce a lot of damage for other frontliners with quick uses of One For All. Is it worth a party slot? Still debatable.
