What?
What?
math etc.
He means that with a lot of Def boost ( food, protect, /blu etc.) You can actually achieve a very high defense with CC up.
What you mean? Before update there was no way to boost your defense with CC up. It was at around 50 and was ignoring all form of buffs.
Now in theory you can boost you def to really high value and still have 80% counter rate.
Obviously a cost to attack power is significant ( no berserk and no attack food ) but if you only need to tank not to kill asap then its definitely a new possibility of tanking for MNK.
the update is definitly notable. Berserk isnt anymore some thing you just throw at everything. Bravura aftermath helps... to some extent. Thats not to say that I find the update bad, I actually welcome it, you have to put some mind now behind those JAs.
Oh I mean most circumstanes even trying the ratio wont be much better than before. But yeah if you really work on it you can get it to be more like 1ish at least on fodder. Guess that's what I meant is the effort worth it on basically fodder? Or actually did someone test how it works with cocoon? Like does the -50% and +50% just add together to 0?
Have you been reading the posts? If you aren't using a defense lowering ability you are already roughly at the same defensive capabilities as before. Then, because of Adoulin mobs not having attack level correction, you can get much more defensive due to defense than you could before.
Could this possibly mean I can make some legit gil off of rabbit pies now? For those that don't know, they give +100 to Attack/R.Attack/Defense . Also +5 Str and Vit.
...and Hydra Kofte. Yes, maybe.
I crafted up 2 stacks before patch for my own personal use.
Getting back IT from the first post. I thought the op's was just under a placebo, bias or whatever.
So far I only fought a few colonization reives with spiders and beetles mobs. My Victory Smite was doing less damage than average for sure, altough of course it might just be than Colonization mobs have higher stats.
I was averaging 850ish Vsmite, hit as low as 500ish, spiked once at 1200.
Used Vsmite uh... not many times for it to count statistically, definitely under 30. But as far as I can say either they have a -crit or have higher than usual stats or something.
Haven't tried "normal" mobs yet.
Did annyone know how is ADL post update?
Require new strat/more ppl, or still the same low man strat working?
Personal monk experience so far with new mobs is that anything vt or lower is still solo able but it requires a lot more attention than it used to as monk with counterstance up every hit hurts alot.
This update has ruined soloing Dynamis on my Thief it was my main source of income but now apparently it is okay for statues to be hitting for 600 odd damage, mob tp moves are doing 2-3 times more damage than normal and i don't think i can solo it myself without going in some kind of awesome gear which is just not in my realm of possibilities.
