Thanks so much for adding that info. I bolded the new stuff for you to make it easier for the OP to see. I shared it with ffxiah as well so people will hopefully work on getting some of those amazing weapons and armor (only one per week tho it seems?).Pioneers Coalition

Is there a trick to getting EXP from the Reive in the Foret de Hennetiel? I'm tanking all the mobs at this tree, and getting the Reive bonuses every so often, but I'm not getting EXP or Bayld from it. Do I have to be damaging the tree?
Try doing damage to the mobs?
Yes. However you might start getting some exp/bayld after doing something to the tree, even if you don't keep on damaging it.
Also if my findings in this thread are correct, you're not really going to get much exp/bayld unless you're doing significant damage to the tree.
"- Signboard: npcs for Arcane Glyptics Price Reduction will increase

does this mean the spell npc´s will sell their scrolls cheaper? oO
Oh, I tried something new. Apparently if you going to the Courier's Coalition, and you pick the third task avalable, you can take a KI to one of the Bouviac placeholder NPC's to help build the Bioviac. It's a quick run to H/I -9 ish in Ceizak to drop off the KI for a quick 500 Bayld if you got one spare Imperatur. Plus maybe helping build the Bioviacs is important to raising colonization rate, among other non-Reive tasks people might not be as aware of?
A note however, the supplies task for helping build the unbuilt camps has one rub however. You can't use waypoints or the KI will break. not a big deal for the Ceizak camp #1 but I iagine for the other camps, especally the ones in later zones, that might be a little annoying.
After spamming them all day, my thoughts are we're getting exp based on the combination of two values:
Personal exp, capped at what seems to be close to 500, from doing anything.
And logging exp, from anyone smacking the trees, also seems to cap out at 500.
So if you have no one on tree you are losing exp, and if everyone is on exp and ignoring mobs you lose exp too, balancing damage between the two nets the most.
I've gotten close to 1600xp from one tally so I wouldn't consider those the caps; I've gotten something like ~620 bayld too. And like solracht said, there's definitely a multiplier based on # of people hitting the blockage/lair--so I suppose the multiplier might be like 1.2x etc. rather than 2x
Was doing reives for a couple hours tonight, Shiva went from 10% to 11%, then an hour later fell back to 10%. Not sure why it receded like that. people are out camping the reives hard.
mining for the demolishing quest is a pain and turned to be a huge bottleneck. after 4 hours of 6 people searching we didnt find any mining point because they were all behind the Reives. On Ragnarok there were like 30 people looking for mining points in the starting area of Morimar.
Is it confirmed that nugget can drop in Moh Gates too?
reposting this from other thread
Agreed, This whole marble thing is ridiculous. I finally get past the Reive blockage in moh gates and find some mining points... Then I got fatigue after 15 attempts at mining. no marble and the Reive blockage was back. I dont know how mining fatigue works either, when can I mine again?
its about 1 fatigue recovered every 2 minutes.. so 30min if you wanna get back to full
Wanted to throw this out the last the cutscene for Leafkin quest. Need to fish up key item rusty pickaxe in Foret de Hennetiel. I did it at island furtherest Southeast near mouth of river at J-9. Than talk to quest giver and done, 700 Bayld for that turn in.
I know you know this, but I guess I'll use your post to clarify: I'm almost sure it's based on the damage the blockage is receiving per tally (this would also make sense since SE mentioned it). All my "tests" have been done with BST pets and a half afk THF (so the damage is consistent every tally) which is why I keep on mentioning # of people/pets on the blockage.
Maybe we can go out today and have you unloading 300%TP every other tally on DNC/BLU/whatever or something. We should notice slight bayld spikes.
By doing this:
-Either you stop getting bayld altogether (no tallies)
or
-You get very low bayld (only counted from mobs, without multipliers from the roots, which should be <20 per tally for the damage dealers).
Let me know what happens, we need more conflicting reports like Tearshang's.
Speaking of, I know Tearshang's posts made me question the existence of caps, but every reive I did last night definitely points towards a dynamic (changes every tally) and global cap (same number for everyone in the reive: see my post last page where the PLD holding 15 bees was getting the same exp/bayld per tally as the BSTs: ~60).
There's a way to make what Tearshang said fit into the numbers I found:
-Healing has its own category of bayld (like in campaign). I'll do some testing today if I can find a few people to control the grasshoppers/bees. If this is true, then while healing I should be getting over 50 bayld per tally with 2 pets on a root (normally it's only 37-41).
Few pictures since I guess there's not really much reason to believe all the crap I'm saying:
Few people hitting the root (2 pets and 2-3 melee) while most people were busy with the bees:
Couple tallies later, most bees were dead and pretty much everyone in the reive (10+?) zerged the roots:
About the last picture... unlike me, my partner was not meleeing the roots (only her pet was) and she only obtained 550 bayld. This is the first instance all evening where her bayld was lower than mine. It took a lot of people on the root for her pet to fall behind the possible "max" bayld, so the caps should be very easy to attain every tally unless the root is taking a lot of damage.
Something I'm unsure of: you'd think the bayld/tally would go up with BST+pet meleeing since that means more damage on the roots, but the numbers were the same-ish as when two pets were meleeing. I'll try to figure it out later, but my wild guess would be: the contribution of each person towards the multiplier is capped and the pet's damage counts as the BST's damage (again this is just speculation).
EDIT: Things I want to find out:
1. Damage the root should be taking for bayld increases (so I can stop using terms such as "2 pets")
2. Are there personal caps for damage contributions?
3. Do you get tallies after damage stops on the roots/lairs? (hopefully Obsidian can confirm this but Tearshang's post points towards yes)
4. Healing and bayld
