I searched but couldn't find the answer to this simple question: Do lair reive monsters link with their "nest"? Would it be possible to solo lair reives on RNG just ranged attack spamming?

I think I remember seeing that mobs don't link with the boulders/roots in colonization reives, but those would probably take an eternity to solo.

I tried last night on SMN in Yorcia with my pet but there was nowhere I could stand (in the Reive I was in) where the mobs didn't eventually wander. As soon as they get close, they'll start attacking you.

from my own experience, yorcia's lair spaces are pretty small and its hard to stand in one without getting aggro yourself. marjami on the other hand has quite a number of lair reives (practically all of them) where you can actually AFK behind them.

for SMN, the best one i think is probably the one furthest NW in the zone, because theres a spot you can afk at which is <17.5', meaning to say you can even safely BP without moving or getting aggro at all.

I have to wonder what the thought process behind bayld rewards for Courier missions entails. It's sincerely baffling to me. 5400 for running supplies from Western Adoulin to Yorcia Weald when I could be getting 6000 for running to Morimar or Foret. Why reward me less for 2 times the effort? Probably won't even bother anymore because the run sucks terribly and the Bivs are barely worth it, especially since I'm the only person running supplies out there.

so far i've only gotten the ivory wing talisman, but i didn't pay attention to what she said when she gave it.

I've gotten the Ivory wing key item, but haven't killed any delve bosses.

With the pioneer message, maybe it's based on killing a certain number of reives, or getting a certain amount of bayld (total).

Maybe it has something to do with the types of Coalition Assignments you're carrying out?

Supporting pioneers = Taking/Bringing back supplies from a biv?
Helping the city's populace = Mummer's tasks?
during your coalition assignments = a certain amount of different assignments performed?
advancing the alliance = ???

I don't know, I'm just throwing ideas out there.

Here's my theories as to how the dialogue works.

Supporting pioneers: Something related to colonization reives. Either in number of reives completed or in totals from evaluations.

Helping the city's populace: Quests. Either tied to number completed or overall fame.

Doing your coalition assignments: Number of imprimaturs used, or getting a certain rank in all 6 coalitions (Partner, for example).

Advancing the alliance: Adoulin missions?

At least, that's what makes sense to me. Maybe the people who got the ivory wing talisman are the people who've been farming reives like crazy ever since the expansion came out.

I never farmed reives that much (I've done my share of reives, sure, but not a crazy amount like some people), yet still got the ivory wing talisman. What I've done is ranking up every coalition, and, except from 3-4 tags, spending them all. Iwas either rank 3 (considering the first one rank 0) in all coalitions, or rank 4 in scouts then rank 3 in the rest when I got it, I don't know.

I also did all missions up to that point and all quests prior to the update, but only 1 or 2 of the new ones.

Maybe it's the quests then. I still have to do Orobon Appetite and Don't Ever Leaf Me. I'll complete those asap and see if it'll give me the talisman.

I got ivory wing talisman with only a couple of reives done (at the time). I had rank 4 couriers/scouts, rank 3 mummers, rank 1 all else. No delve boss kills. Had all pre-zapdos/tree update quests completed. No idea what dialogue she gave me when I got it, but I don't think I got any kinetic units.

EDIT: I had only killed the two new naakuls at the time, none of the old ones.

The naakual reward also has the option of choosing 30k baldy, 20k kinetic units, or nothing on top of the drops. So further rewards might just have those 3 options and a new one

I have every Adoulin-related quest completed aside from Mog Gardens quests, as well as all the current missions. I don't think either of those have to do with getting the bronze mattock (max imprimatur) and bronze shovel (reduces imprimatur wait time) cordons.

Other stuff of note:
- Have ivory wing talisman, received immediately after I completed Order Up.
- Killed all five Naakuals, picked up items for both.
- My Naakual KI prices are 25k for first three and 50k for last two.
- Fame NPC says: "Your name is making the rounds in Adoulin. I hear it on the lips of passerby rather often." Current fame cap, I think.

For my ranks in Coalitions, we have:
- Partner (r5) in Courier's and Scout's
- Contributor (r4) in Pioneer's and Mummer's
- Disicple (r3) in Inventor's
- Petitioner (r1) in Peacekeeper's

I also have 35 unique assignments complete, including all four "Provide" assignments from the Courier's Coalition that are not always 100% available due to Frontier Stations being constructed in the outlying areas. It might be interesting to note that the only "assignment type" I haven't completed is a Patrol for Peacekeeper's, because those assignments are only for Probationers and up.

Frostbloom is at about H-6. It's in an area reached via scalable areas with the climbing KI. The cool thing is, its at the very top of one of those huge rock spikes, and has trees on top. <,<

Ah, no wonder I didn't find it when I looked around the scalable areas. Thank you very much.

That did it. I just completed the last of the pre-update quests I had to finish and the NPC gave me the Ivory Wing Talisman, when just before she wouldn't hand it over. I think that's pretty definitive proof.

All pre-update quests complete = Ivory Wing Talisman.

Right now, she says the library thirsts for knowledge, so go get some.
Looking through the DAT file to see what I'm missing compared to what I can research in the library...

EDIT: So I'm missing the following:

Geography (Ulbulka)
- Off limits (guessing this is gonna be Kahmir Piedmont)
Geography (Adoulin)
- Watergarden Coliseum (there is actual text for this in the DATs at the moment... Is there some other way to enter the Coliseum without doing the RUN genkai fight?)
Bestiary (Naakuals)
- 2x Off limits (The Ice Lion Naakual for Kahmir and whatever the seventh will be.)
