Same thing here, Lakshmi got weapons because some people kept voting the first option for traditional weapons while other wanted them because they didn't want to have to buy or work on Trial of the Magians weapon.

Since none of the Scout's Coalition voting options implies more maps for sale, I was hoping that the maps for Morimar and Foret would become available with just ranking up, but apparently no dice.

im doing Inventors to rank up the moment i'm done with Scouts.

using Bloodthreads is likely the best option. farm in cop/toa areas and use 3 imprimaturs to maximize assignment?

You can just farm Diremites in Abyssea Uleg for Bloodthread. Get a stack, then spend 12 tags at once.
