to clarify, you get this from the moment that Dimmian starts talking to you about naakuals and you "opt in" to participate.. so you don't need to buy KIs at all.
it's probably an arbitrary KI to track whether you can fight Naakuals in case more NPCs relating to naakuals pop up.
the aged naakual crests appear to be perma KIs, so its likely that they're proof of defeating the naakual. im hoping that they'll reduce bayld cost to enter the lairs for naakuals you've already defeated.
100k bayld for me is pretty steep considering how reives are broken and my SMN gets next to squat for legitimately trying to help out in it.
of course, when the time comes, if you save up enough bayld, considering this is a reive, its likely that everyone can just join together to fight the naakual, with loot dropping when it's defeated, just like other reives...
that said, if you don't leave the lair, you can just keep fighting him? i think the devs mentioned that once you clear a naakual reive, you'll have to leave and come back before you can attempt it again
if thats the case, maybe missions has a quest prerequisite as well.
"Scaredy-cats" probably, since that one is autoflagged
I've used over 50 tags, completed most quests, including the three involving Maesters, can't trigger a cutscene with Brenton. A majority of my tags are into Peacekeepers, 7 into Pioneers and 1 into Scouts.
totalled 700exp and much less bayld from that whole reive. BP'd at least 12 times for 900-1400dmg. evaluated twice in the reive, and 1 time when reive ended.
solo afk in morimar gave 0, but it was my first time trying on SMN so unless they fixed/nerfed it, seems BST is better than SMN in that regard.
Yeah I think I got about 1k baldy on my bst and as you might have saw I had only really brought my afk pet set. But probably still more dmg then melee smn. I think my whm got around 500 from just the random cures and buffs. Maybe they expect you to ward and rage every 45 sec while spamming support magic?
Dropping 3.6k stardivers on shit left and right getting like 70-80 balyd per tally.
My highest tallies on DRK after the melee nerf have been ~500-550, as opposed to up to 1000 before the patch.
I'm pretty certain it's tied to how much damage is done to the root in the evaluation period. That sets the cap for the amount of Bayld you can get that evaluation. There's probably bonus multipliers and stuff involved somewhere too.
It's really noticeable that you get a lot more Bayld per eval period when there's more people thwacking the root than if you're by yourself. Even if you do the exact same DPS.
It evens out though. Like when we trio roots I end up getting 2-3k Bayld per reive total. If there's a ton of people there I get 2-4k total for the fight. The main difference is the speed it comes in at. And the slightly higher total Bayld gained makes me think there's some sort of bonus for killing quicker.
I've had 800 ish post update but there was a ton of people hitting the root.
I've noticed demolishing adds yields absolute shit bayld / exp, but tickling the barrier will give me a great amount every evaluation, it also depends greatly on the number of people actually attacking the barriers as well, yesterday I started with a group of 7, 5 DD, 2 mages, I was getting 600-800 bayld an evaluation, a couple of my friends came out and joined in, had 10 at that point, 8 dd, 2 mages and was getting well into the thousands per evaluation.
So what we do know about the Naakuals:
- You get the dialog with Dimmian when you have used 50 tags
- You get the Barometer KI for opting in to kill the Naakuals
- The Naakual KI cost 100k Bayld and is lost upon entering the lair
What we need to find out:
- How the loot is distributed if anyone can join in
- Do the Perma KI's obtained from the Naakuals reduce the cost of retrying?
- Is the Colonization % tied to some sort of weakening of the Naakuals defenses?
- What is the pop timer of the Naakuals?
Nobody seems to think the coalition weapons might be needed to damage these guys? if you notice, the DMG on these weapons goes way up during reives. These battles with the Naakuals are reives.
Look at the Fieldrazer Scythe (won't let me post URLS yet):
135 DMG outside of a Reive, a whopping 166 when in a Reive.
So anyone with a weapon below D166 cant damage reive mobs? Those weapons arent the answer lol
No, I definitely don't think there is a DMG requirement. I do think there might be something special about the weapons though. My theory was that by killing the Naakuals with those weapons, they can be eventually upgraded. Essentially all of these 100k Bayld key item battles are ultimately for the next line of relic, mythic, etc. weapons. Other than that, I'm not quite sure what would drop from these battles. Basically all of the other items (from dat mining) are accounted for. I'm basing this purely from prior SE interviews leading up to the release of Adoulin where the developers stated that they were making content where gear would be required for the fight, and as you completed these fights you would earn newer gear to be used on more difficult fights and so on and so on. It's just a theory but these coalition weapons might have a hidden effect that let you damage the Naakuals.
I doubt that's the secret. I mean that would basically be a huge kick in the nuts for mages.
Not to mention they said no damage worked...I'd presume that included magic damage and enfeebling magic.
I'm pretty sure those weapons are just the new campaign equipment
Could allow mages to do magic damage upon having the weapon equipped.
