So it was the colonization rate... uh...
Of course the 100k Bayld KI is a temp one that gets consumed when you enter, right?

i thought someone told us its a perm in BG wiki... so its a temp now? ouch
the 100k bayld items are temps.
naakual crest and barometer are perms..
Well spending 100k bayld and being able to access the fight whenever you want would be a bit TOO MUCH to ask, wouldn't it?
100k bayld seem a lot of bayld for a single fight... a lot, but I'm confident as time goes by people will find more efficient/faster ways to farm it.
Is the npc that gives the item part of any coalition? Perhaps the price goes down as certain coalitions increase in level? Maybe it is attuned to colonization reports via the scouting coalition?
In other words, we are just not meant to kill them at this time.
Are there any maps of where Reives are for each zone? I saw some prelims back when the expansion started but has it been fleshed out in its entirety?
How did you reach this conclusion?
Given that reive bonuses build progressively throughout the fight and that an unlimited number of participants could fight, it seems to me that they are killable at this point.
If I'm participating in Reive A, and my mule is participating in Reive B (colonization/lair), will I receive reive momentums in A from B?
Coalitions cap at lvl3 for now meaning unless something amazing happens at that specific level it looks like the 100k is a gate to keep Naakual drops/kills rare.
Perhaps this is SEs way of getting an LS prestige points by organizing and downing the Naakuals at their strongest? From the mined text it implies varying Naakual strengths over time. Beat them once then they get weaker? Or further, allow for us to push those Colonization rates higher. Let them sit up over time and they get stronger? Colonization rates factoring into the -DT%
The permanent key items from killing them surely will reduce the price for later buys.
Surely?
You have more faith in SE than I do. I think 100k Baylis is perfectly in line with SE apparent desire to rebuild end game shells. Linkshell a having a rotation of Odin II/Arch DL/Nakuuls/Legion/etc seems about right.
If I was to get the required 100k Bayld through laid-back play (That is, by only doing reives as I get tickets for coalition quests) it'd probably take me about a month to get 100k Bayld. I guess that isn't too unreasonable a timespan when you consider they wanted people to basically do that for Umagrhk too.
Maybe they'll make people pay 500k to get the Temp KI as an alternative at some point. >_>
As it stands with a high bayld entry cost, the Naakuals are linkshell "events" that happen to depend on the overall coalition/server efforts and given the tier of loot presented offer more incentive than XI back in the AV days. At least this can be done casually without running into a wall of Tanaka's sadism.
I guess you could take that one step further and simply say that the entire coalition system favors linkshells that are coordinated, organized and task-driven rather than mindlessly shouting in Ceizak/Yahse if a Reive is up only to be the only person there or throwing supplies into a Bivouac in whoville hoping your server follows suit. Sure, you can get away with that shit but the Bayld is slowed, the lack of support frustrating and the experience overall cheapened by playing solo in what wants to be a party affair. Of course that means SE needs to re-evaluate the reward ratios for mages/melee but that will come in time.
Would any of you put 100k bayld on the line for a PUG attempt at Naakuals? Maybe SE intends to turn Bayld into Cruor eventually where breathing gives you 10k but for now it seems to be a rare commodity.
If only EXP awarded bayld. If only.
I honestly can't believe that people are acting like Bayld is hard to accrue. Ok it's not like you can go out and get 100k Bayld in 30 mins but you could do it in like 5 hours. Probably less if you made a concentrated LS effort to do so.
You can get like 15-20k just by following the crowd and clearing out the Yahse or Ceizak loop once. That takes like 30-45 mins depending on how big the crowd is.
its not hard to get, but 100k for a temp is still steep
not like i will not buy them, i will but everyone is "just saying" its too ex for now
me and my friend duo foret reives 18k a round
You're saying its steep before we even have any idea of how the rewards for beating nakuuls will be distributed and what effect the KI from winning will give.
People bitching about this, citing expansions from different dev teams from years ago is just stupid. Chances are we'll have all the information we need in the next few days when the jps inevitably clusterfuck one of them.
What were people expecting though? For the Naakuals to be spammable with no real effort required to reach them?
There's pretty much always a block in place preventing the spamming of content, especially at release. Old HNM pop timers, popped HNMs being restricted by pre-NM pop timers, Dynamis/Einherjar/Limbus restrictions, Tag style accruals like Salvage/Nyzul/Meebles and even Voidwatch at the start.
The methods have varied but there's always been an artificial block in the way which generally gets eased or lowered or becomes inconsequential due to newer content. It may get lowered in the future but 100k certainly isn't a bad restriction as a starting point compared to some other stuff.
thats how it always works man
2m cruor brew is insane
even 200k is too much
owait
Nobody ever said it was "hard". The problem is that it takes forever to get *one* shot at an NM. And, more importantly, hitting roots for 5 hours is fucking boring. I don't know about everyone else but I think I'd rather spend my time doing other game events where I'm doing more than attacking immobile objects for 6 hours. Sometimes I wonder if any of you remember that we're playing a freaking video game. You can get like 15-20k just by following the crowd and clearing out the Yahse or Ceizak loop once. That takes like 30-45 mins depending on how big the crowd is.
And yeah, I know it's an MMO and shit is always grinding no matter what, but this is the lowest common denominator of it.
FTR, I wouldn't mind the limited access so much if this wasn't basically the only thing to do in this expansion other than attack rocks.
