Well I commend you. Congratulations! Hopefully we can figure out their weaknesses soon. I'm assuming SE didn't intend for these fights to last even close to that long.

Random question: Is it better to focus on Quest from one Coalition? I have been busy doing every available Coalition quest but obviously that will slow any progress in terms of ranking up.

Not sure what time zone Whiteknight is in, but I assumed the 13h30 meant that he entered the battlefield at 1:30pm his time, it was already at 50% and it took a further 2 hours and 30 minutes to take it from 50% to 0%. So unless it for some reason took 11 hours to take it from 100% to 50%, it wasn't a 13 hour fight.

Edit: Whiteknight beat me to it!

I doubt he meant the fight took 13 hours...

He was saying he entered around 13:30 on the clock, and the SS he posted shows 15:10. he said it took ~2.5 hours to go from 50% to dead, so most likely around 4-5hours total.

Any more details from your JP friend about the geomancy magic they were talking about after the naakual was defeated? Prolly just some wwwwwspaghetti thing, but still curious. Dunno how to feel about these fights if out of 15 people, you didn't get anything at all. RNG at its finest hopefully, and the drop rates aren't too terrible, or we'll all be running our favorite quick bayld assignments and beating on roots/crags for months to come, barring a new way to earn Bayld with this update.

The colonisation rate was at 25%, which mean mob had (supossedly) a perma DT- of 75%. So, with a higher rate, naakual shoudl be easier.
Also, I have no idea if it's better to stick to one coalition or not. I'm gambling atm, using all my tags in pionneers. Now rank 4, can do assignement in cirdas. I'll do it after the maint to keep you updated with bayld reward.
But maybe in futur missions, you'll either need rank 2 in all coalition in order to trigger a mission/quest, or at the opposite, you might need legend rank? It's just pure guessing atm.

If colonization rate is in fact tied to their -DT then future fights will be quicker since we'll be doing more damage.

I imagine SE probably thought more people would be thwacking away at them too.

Wonder if that was some off the wall luck, or if we can look forward to Geo spells dropping from Naakuals being reliable. Some reives I do well in, I get 2 items from the reward. Wonder if Naakuals are the same, in that if you're present and highly active during the course of it, you'll get two drop slots, potentially increasing the rate of acquiring gear, spells, etc.

Outta curiosity, was there any form of TH present? I remember someone a while back said they got a drop from a reive mob that went into the treasure pool? no backing SS though

Ah, that could be the simulacrum segments which seem to function rather differently than normal. (As I recall there might have been a SS or not, but either way if I'm remembering right, the piece didn't so much drop from the monster as magically appear in the loot pool?)

idk fucking skrimish item farming is making me (ノ ゜Д゜)ノ ======= ┻━━┻

I have to say that I find the idea of a large scale hour-long battle (assuming 4x DT when colonization is at 100% vs 25%) against a difficult enemy to be incredibly appealing.

That said, I do not find the idea of being rewarded with a locust from said battle to be appealing.

So far it seems as though the scouting coalition is the easiest way to make Bayld. It started off low, but by rank 3 (Disciple) you make 1,500 bayld per survey.

The current survey i've been doing (for rank 3) involves me teleporting to the Foret Frontier, walking for a minute and a half, surveying a locus and warping back. I can earn 6,000 Bayld per day with 15 minutes of work.

that would depend on your objective.
if you're gonna do everything sooner or later, then it really doesn't matter, since you're gonna need to repeat most of them in order to get your rank up in the coalition.

but if your intention is a faster path to bayld then ranking up 1 coalition first will be better as higher ranking assignments tend to give better bayld yield and aren't necessarily that hard either.
similarly, if you want to aid colonization, then the first coalition to work on is couriers since they're the ones that set up frontier stations and bivouacs.

my recommendation for ranking up a coalition would be to clear each assignment once (if you're into completion) and then spamming the easiest assignment from that tier to unlock the next, and repeat for the next tier.
focusing on 1 coalition also helps to boost their edification if they're low.

for example, Bahamut's Inventor's is still 0, so i've been working to get my Inventor's rank to Probationer after i cleared couriers and scouts.
also, its probably obvious, but maximize assignments that ask you to turn in items by using 3 imprimaturs instead of 1. they'll still ask you to turn in the same number of items.

May(bee) key just flags you for another fight with a Bee that drops loot?
Did you guys try any mura or formless trikes or twilight scythes on it? Could be why they nerfed twilght scythe in the first place.

I tried mura on Achuka, It did 0 damage.

I'm just very intrigued by the 1K WS while unbuffed. If it's true, there may be a different way to weaken the NMs aside from Col. rate.
