I'm not against speculation, I mean I was the first person to say maybe colonization % was proportional to their DT. Static damage would jus give us something better to work with.
Spirits would work. Possibly Atonement too if you could get it up to capped damage and pending how dickish SE have been with Atonement damage this expansion
Quick Draw ignores -DT, so it's not a suitable candidate.

Blu 1k needles yeah will be resisted. Cactuar jug wont be. Can weapon bash is set too. And so is excal which gives you the 3 main melee types so you can see if it's general dt/pdt or specific weapon type. I think QD bypasses mdt but not MDB so that would actually be testing MDB (hence why it normally goes passed shields). To test mdt you'd probably have to ES 1k needles I think since I can't think of any player move that bypasses MDB but is affected by mdt. For bdt can use spirits or breath spells.
1-Its possible it wont bypass the colonization DT, has it been proven otherwise?
2-Should make note that if you stay dead, your progress is stored. Its ONLY when you raise that your progress is lost:
[15:58:41]Kehhiko was defeated by the Lavender Twitherym.
[15:58:44]Kehhiko's experience points have been stored because she has been defeated.
[15:58:45]Kehhiko's bayld has been stored because she has been defeated.
...
[15:59:38]Kehhiko's experience points have been stored because she has been defeated.
[15:59:38]Kehhiko's bayld has been stored because she has been defeated.
[15:59:38]Obtained: Bag of herb seeds.
[15:59:38]Kehhiko's Reive Mark effect wears off.
[15:59:38]Kehhiko is victorious in the Colonization Reive!
[15:59:43]Vermy starts casting Raise III on Kehhiko.
[15:59:58]Azure defeats the Knotted Root.
[15:59:58]Kehhiko gains 1556 experience points.
[16:00:01]Kehhiko obtained 444 bayld!
So if the reive is almost done, its actually better to stay down...but thats clearly a faulty mechanic![]()
It might be something like SE does with double weakened where your macc/mab/ratt/racc are set to pretty much 0? But with att too?
That's unfortunate if you're a total completion kind of person.
So basically if you wanted to complete all Imprims and haven't done those particular ones yet then you're basically shit out of luck. Nice... That's going to drive some peoples OCD crazy.
"Why didn't you just run in, whirl of rage, dream flower, melee the rock and repeat till dead?"
For me, in reives, whirl of rage stun basically has 0 duration. If anyone's whirl lasts long enough in reives to recast dream flower, what do you equip for it? Actinic burst is also lame in reives. I didn't notice the effect end quickly, so I'm guessing it just has no potency. Thunderbolt and sudden lunge work just all well in reives as they do elsewhere. It seems like certain spells were handpicked to be nerfed in reives so blu can't CC indefinitely, but I won't jump to any conclusions if its just me.
Also, a couple people, way back in this thread, expressed disappointment at the seemingly small impact of "paresis resilience". Maybe that's because it works like barpara, which, in my experience, is a misunderstood effect. I suspect that it does not reduce the duration of paralyze or the chance of getting paralyzed in the first place. It does, however, reduce the chance that paralysis will interrupt actions. For example, as brd/whm in dynamis-beauc., back at level 75 cap, without barpara it was nearly impossible for me to paralyna myself if I got hit with a goblin's AoE paralyze. With barpara I was almost always able to paralyna myself on the first try. We did the zone many times and that result was consistent. It is, however, an extreme example. The difference might be negligible outside of a certain "sweet spot" of paralysis potency vs. skill of action being taken-- probably modified by enhancing skill of barpara caster.
I equip usual physical set with some aberrant STR/MND pieces (mainly morrigan stuff). The stun duration is not nerfed at all, neither is dream flower. I would highly recommend /RDM and using aquaveil however, if you plan on sleeping things. Aquaveil makes a huge difference.
In other news, KC RNG with wildfire completely obliterates these reives. It's really pretty funny, and cheap, considering you can use any bullet you want. I certainly wouldn't waste orichalcum on them.
I'm pretty sure there are some types of DT that just block everything, including Quick Draw and Twilight Scythe, such as the brittle rocks in Excavation Duty, or what certain mobs get when they cannot be killed (like the mob in the final WotG Windurst mission, who can't be killed unless they're in a certain form, or the Dvergr boss in Einherjar). Colonization % could have conceivably been that kind of DT- (even though it was tested that it wasn't).
I have found WOR+Dream Flower to work extremely well. Usually I don't get hit in btw, but I would suggest Occulation if you are lagging at all. Turtling with PDT set and shadows and you can control large crowds while others work on hives/log.
Peacekeeper Contributor unlocks Preserve the peace: Cirdas Caverns. 1500 for 1 KI and 2700 for 2 KI. Assuming 3600 for 3 KI.
Not sure what you are asking but it is exactly 1/4 current hp. From what little I tested it seems to account for all gear buffs so no weird low dmg. But is effected by some dmg mods like slashing dmg mods or say like circle effects... so like I was getting consisent 1k+ on hounds doing trials in abyssea with loltaru hp. But things like att/def mab/mdb etc didn't effect it.
Mind you I haven't done reives on blu yet but have you solo cleaved before? WoR kinda always has okish duration with some completely resisting but with aquaveil/phalanx maybe stoneskin and def/-pdt gear should be just fine with dream flower. Fast cast gear and trait help even though flower is rather fast to begin with. /rdm works wonders in these situations
I've had no issues solo/duoing lair reives on blu. I usually sub whm just cause I'm too lazy to get a RR item but rdm sub would be ideal. Just keep aquaveil and stoneskin up between sleeps and you'll be fine. I don't even wear full PDT set just a few pieces and cocoon. It helps to set something like Yawn in case dream flower is resisted by any of the mobs too.
