I'm not sure if this is the correct thread but I didn't see this posted anywhere else, so my apologies if that's the case.
Anyways, just a few things about the fatigue system. From my experience, using timestamps, fatigue is reduced by one every two minutes, but only while logged in. I logged out for about 12 hours and logged back in on top of a mining point only to have this happen:Spoiler: show
Oh, and I guess this confirms that logging out doesn't count as zoning for the purposes of resetting fatigue, but I think that was expected.
Mummers' Coalition.
Recover: Ceizak Battlegrounds.
Description: head to Ceizak Battlegrounds or Yahse Hunting Grounds and search for an item a pioneer lost there. Find the item and return to the Mummers' Coalition to complete this assignment.
I found 2 "Lost Article" in Ceizak Battlegrounds. One in F-6, another in H-10.
Been doing these for the past few hours, I'll test the root reives if I can find any without 100 people.
Lair Reives
-My base bayld per tally is 7-15 bayld. Having more people attacking the lair multiplies it. Having people attacking enemies does nothing.
2 people on lair: 19-24 bayld
3 people on lair: 29-32 bayld
Can someone confirm my numbers? These numbers come from pet contributions only, but I'm 99% sure the pet damage counts as the master's.
The "Lost Article" seems to spawn almost anywhere on the map. I have found it all the way up north by the zone line and all the way to the south. Usually on the westish side of the map. Also you cannot widescan them and they depop as soon as someone touches them. (Just throwing it out there if it hasnt been mentioned.)
I don't have any pictures but I helped out 2 people during a lair reive that were just fighting the mobs and no one fighting the lair and we got exp/bayld. As long as I cured a certain amount and casted enough I got exp/bayld. Seemed like if I would cure around 800+ and cast more than 4 times I would get 150-175 exp and 40-75 bayld.
In regards to that screenshot of Achuka, it's clear the Naakual are fought in reives, probably a reive requiring a coelition tag once unlocked. What I'm curious is how they'll be fought, I mean, if we go by standard reive mechanics, anyone at any time can come and engage. It's likely to be that scenario, in which case we'll be heading into a WoE 2.0, the worst event SE ever introduced to FFXI, don't think I need into a huge rant as to why that event was a pile of shit.
Wasn't praying on HNM timed spawn (although honestly, I'd have loved it to be that, but let's not go there) but atleast an instanced battle where you can assemble a group of advanced players to take out. Now it's very likely gonna be retards not only sponging, but jeopardizing a good groups efforts.
Also, I saw an SS of devs battling a huge Achuka-type mob, anyone else see that somewhere? the screenshotted Achuka on page 5 of this thread is very small in comparison, wierd.
Did anyone damage or accrue enmity on the lair at all? Even if they weren't fighting it.
I have fought lair/root monsters for over 5min without anyone touching the roots/lair at all and I haven't seen a single tally notice. Weird.
You can get exp/bayld from attacking enemies, but someone needs to have done something on the lair/roots at least once, unless this changed with today's patch.
Can't say for sure. When I showed up it was just two people fighting luckybugs or whatever they are called and no one else was there.
Thanks to your posts I can at least say that "caps" are higher than what I posted (and the pets just couldn't get higher than that), the only thing I'm almost sure of is that only attacking the lair/roots increases the multiplier, while attacking enemies does not: doing a root reive right now, getting 40 per evaluation with 2 pets on the roots. A third person joins and starts attacking the grasshoppers... and we're still getting 40 per tally.
Edited my post above until we're more certain about the caps.
EDIT: Third BST joined in, his pet is attacking the same root as mine. Up to 60-64/tally. PLD joined, attacking grasshoppers... tallies stay at 60-64. The PLD is getting 60-64 from the grasshoppers too.
This fucking hilarious either way, have made 3k bayld while alt tabbed.
Ochain PLD is also hilarious for bayld at the root reives. If people could just team up and not actually kill the root, you could farm so much bayld.
So, I'm pretty worried about the colonization levels of the areas on my server, Does anyone know much about how to do the other coalition missions that don't involve Rieves, like the one the build the camps, yet?
Finally had success surveying the Ergon Locus in Yahse (Immutable Boulder). It was at 4:22 on Darksday, 2.5" away. That mission for the Scouts Coalition sucks.
Edit: I can hold the entire Reive swarm solo on Ochain PLD pretty easily as long as I can keep all the mobs in front of me. If you want to farm Bayld, just pull mobs off the PLD instead of killing the roots. Conversely, if you're trying not to die and get aggro, run them to the PLD, and if they're smart they're just spamming Circle Blade or Aeolian Edge, so they'll pull your aggro off you.
Colonization rate was up to 12% ,
All Colonization Reives waiting on respawn.
Then in chat on Sylph: "The Area's colonization rate has dropped to 9%"
............
Valefor had Ceizak's "Colonization Rate" drop by 10% randomly a few mins ago
with regards to fatigue. harvesting, logging and mining share the same fatigue. you start at 15 and it seems each not so successful attempt reduces it by one. it appears to recover at around 1 per minute or so.
there are KI's available in game that improve your HELM activities.. but i've no idea how to get them.
