I think it's kinda nice that the new content gives the best weapons for the time being so people will do it. If they are upping the REM-stats later it's not going to be a colossal loss anyway.

Do the new Skirmish, get a good weapon, upgrade your REM.

It's a good progress none or less, and people without REM will be at the "have to start farming REM again" situation.

Some of them so far look like good alternatives but some are already clear winners. And we've yet to fully map how high the stats we can get so that fix wasn't really necessary

It's cool , he probably maybe figured them all out by possibly eyeballing checking that certain parse situations may or may not favor a R/E/M over these new weapons, or it may not.

Ranged relics are out of reach. Unless You spam Last stand with KC melee.
Almace will probably only lose if you cant maintain AM1. Tizona will still have its uses
Ragnarok will only lose if your ws/melee split will be like 60/40 at least. Your acc will be capped and you will manage to 5 hit Crobaci vs 7 hit Ragnarok.
Ryunohige will win
Koga will win. Amano will still be better for combo with Yoichi. Amano/Masa have WSs with Light properties.
Kannagi/Kikoku is equal to that +22dmg(?)/5%wsd katana
Ukonvasara will win unless you cant maintain AM. Conqueror will win for MS zerg. Bravura will win for defence.
H2h will win but this elemental one will probably win with augmented.
Dagger might win but its marginal victory. E and R have very good WSs to stack with SA TA or flourish.
Liberator will win unless you cant maintain AM. Apocalypse will always have its use
Axe will probably win.
Nuke staff. We dont know
SMN staff. Probably better for magic BP
Club. I have no idea because +40 att on relic for whm is much more important than for other 1h jobs. Im much to alzy to make calculation here. Yagrush will still have its uses

I'm sorry but you look like you try to convince ppl to mass farm triggers as 18+ LS for several hours a day and throw ourself on those weapons.
Im ok with that but it looks like you just need to believe in awesomeness of those weapons to justify your farming ideas.

I just wanna do the content, I got several pop sets 2/3 within a couple of days and have been shouting for legs and farming ever since. Farming runs isn't that bad either, you get Bayld for the Naakual fights it seems.

I could care less about gearing, I gear because I want to do new content or challenge content I don't have a steady farm for. Right now it's really challenging to get into Adoulin for different reasons, and that fuels my fire. =D

I understand that the most people in FFXI don't see it that way. But I'm still expressing what I think about it. I'm not trying to offend anyone really. ^^

Yeah it's like Nyzul. Gives you a heads up at 5 minutes remaining at least. Just set a timer on your phone.

For R/E/M vs new weapons, you should consider that mythics and 95/99 emps are out of reach for the vast, vast majority of the playerbase. If you just compare 99 relics and 90 emps vs these weapons, nearly all of them will be upgrades.

Ranged are only out of reach if you assume using relic ws. Not anytime you aren't using kclub. Which gswd are you using because the broken linked one gilgam posted the other day was rediculous. Also think past page showed a nuking staff that beats well anything except high am2 blm mythic. Dagger at the very least best otfhand. Anyways put them into the sprearsheets without doing crazy stuff to purposefully put r/e/m in the lead like perfect/free am3s. Now think this is just the first few things reported (a lot of them without the +2 augment item) in the first 2 weeks of expansion.
