I dont play this char anymore.
It was also far from Bandwagon since I collected Riftdrosses before 99 trial was even available.
As for doing new content You misunderstood me. Im not saying to avoid it I simply saying that doing it just for new weapons and believing you will get best weapon for every job in the game out of it is kinda lying yourself for inspiration.
Das you are pretty good at numbers and cant calc it yourself?
Ranged weapons are out of reach because triple damage from hiddden effect works for whole damage including ammo. To actually match Annihilator in ranged dps this new gun would need to have +80dmg which would be +115% of its base damage. Make a calculation by yourself and check ( that doesnt even include racc/ratt on relic just base damage with hidden effect ). Obviously this new gun would beat Anni in WS damage but it will be to low gain to even be close to balance the loss from TP phase. Also because of Last stand very high base damage (Something like 400?) even +40 base dmg over Anni would be only a +10%ws dmg and I highly doubt a 70dmg gun to have augment +46D.
I'm on the road at work on my phone so doing full math is bleh. Just remember huges Ds aren't the only augments. Gun is basically an unknown right now since we have almost 0 data on it's augs though. While I admit that amount of D is unlikely it's not incomparable to what they did to h2h
Finally, Legs!
Rala Visage II, Faithful's Torso II and Faithful's Legs III.
Going to do it later today and post what we get.
I was a bit sarcastic. I said it was a nice feat. =)
I've been posting findings about segments and segment farming. As well as voicing my opinion. It's clear that I don't really do this for gear and you shouldn't read into my comments on gear too much! Sorry if I offended you!
Completed both objectives.
We got two Aedold and one Iclamar
Aedold
DMG:+5 DEX+1 (Ghastly stone +2)
DMG:+3 (Ghastly stone +1)
DMG:+1 DEX+9 (Ghastly stone)
Iclamar
DMG:+12 (Ghastly stone)
To be honest we used more stones, but forgot exactly what augs. I may have another set for tomorrow and I'm going to try Cirdas in that case.

yet again, first pyre of the day in rala
remembered i lost a visage II the other day? that was first pyre as well of that day, and yest also had a faithful legs I, also on first pyre of the day
obviously small sample but seem to be a catch
not to mention i farm mobs for pyre at least 6-7 hrs a day (no fucking kidding).........
now i got a complete set but going japan for vacation in 12 hrs....
I wonder if there is some sort of damn sneakiness where there's a hidden zone pool that is refreshed every so often that the statue parts are loaded from, like how there are chocobo digging and fishing item pools. Didn't the Bottled Pixies in WotG work off a similar system? Anyway it would be just like SE to artificially limit the rate at which new super weapons enter circulation in this way.
Question: How many did you bring in? Was it about as "Difficult" As a Meeble Burrows... meaning, Easily 3-manned with a good makeshift group? Or would you say its safer to bring ~4+? Sorry if this Info is here anywhere, I know its been compared to Meebles, Cause of objectives, just wondering about over-all Difficulty.
Farmed down there today, got 2 Heads back to back Pyres, a Rala Visage I and a Cardis Visage II. (or vice versa), Either way, our first Pyre was Bayld, second was Bayld, Third/Fourth Were the Heads. Then i murdered the 3 of us and Went to do Botulus :D
for now getting 1 and gtfo the zone seem the best for everyone. sometimes its too tiring and depressing to farm next 6 hrs and nothing...
but damn u got 2 in a row?! FFFUUUUUUUUUUUU
Friend informed me he threw his keyboard in excitement lol.
We have 3 Partial pop sets now. 3 heads, and 1 leg. need 2 legs and 3 bodies ;x
ok after the first visage + 2 hrs farming after, i took a break for food etc
zone back into rala and my first pyre after reentering gets a rala visage II
seriously this is too much a coincidence

either there is a catch im seeing here, or my luck finally burst into action after farming for 5 days
i believe the former
Ok. But you can't count only the positives. So how many times have you entered an SoA zone and the first mob didn't drop a statue piece? Yeah...
The only one I've seen was first kill... there might be something to that though. Obviously it's not a 100% thing or even close but what if they have some sort of zone fatigue system in place? There is a previous precedent for such in things like fishing and it would lend to the giving the casual player as much a chance for awesome loot as the hardcore player. Not to mention they did a reverse system for helming supposedly this update. So maybe the longer you stay the more odds go down?
only 4 times i started farming mobs delicately, others times im mining/reiving for parts but no luck. mind you, when i say mining, i mean im about 0/1000ish 2 IDs combined mining, not even counting the random logging and harvesting points i did as well. As for reives, me and friend duo lair and colonization round and round in foret
so after i got my first part from a pyre, i just farm mobs after and gave up mining/reives
usually im mining and fighting aggro mobs in sih gates (sih gates because most number of occurances according to OP)
idk if sih have pyre which drop parts too maybe like i said maybe just my luck finally came, that simple who knows
4 times farming session, 6 hrs each, and all 4 dropped on first pyre in rala is just luck prolly. reason i chose rala is bacause everyone and their mum seem to get them in rala according to OP
im just suspecting a catch, im not saying "i found out how to get parts 100%!!"
I've been in Rala about 3 hours now killing Toads and Pugils and I've only seen 1 Pyre which had Bayld.
I used three stones, and every time even the first you could look at the current version and the post-upgrade version. Then you could choose between the current version and the post-upgrade version. After choosing you got another confirmation window showing you the weapon again and it asks if it is ok or if you wanna go back.
We brought six really good geared members. The objective was to kill 7 NMs in 40 minutes. There were three maps. The bard did his four songs and went out scouting the maps while we killed an NM and progressed the path he discovered to different NMs. After the seventh NM we were around 20-25 minutes. The secondary was to kill all NMs. After killing one more we got the notification that we killed 8 of 10 enemies. We tracked down the last ones and had around 8 minutes more to play around with. If we had gotten the stricter time limit we wouldn't have made it within 30 minutes on that try.
I think you can clear it with less geared people kinda easily. We didn't hurry too much overall. But the two SAMs we brought are killers, they can kill Salvy2 HQ Cerby in one skillchain almost. But we went in blind and managed to do two objectives. That's better than our first blind run in NNI for example were we struggled to get past 20 floors until we got some experience. =D
salvy 2 HQ cerb in 1 skillchain almost
i would love to see a youtube video on that
How are we defining "almost"? The Seether has ~60,000 HP. I'm very curious to know how you do 45,000 damage in one skillchain.
