I think Ionis gives some sort of bonus to Pyre obtaining rate. I mentioned it before about how I never seemed to get Pyres without it. Well went from averaging 8 pyres an hour with it to averaging 1 pyre per hour without it. Granted it could be because of other people in the zone / bad luck / whatever. Just seems like a pretty hefty swing that happens to coincide with Ionis wearing.
Sidenote but I really hate the attack/def changes. Soloing with Apoc being a constant edge of seat experience against what should be weak mobs sucks so much.
I do everything on Ochain now. Not worth resting after every single mob on MNK.
Yeah I started doing the ochain farming. And based on the amount of competition I've had, it seems a lot of people had the same idea.
What a job called last resort that boosts offense at the cost of defense has a drawback now!?! That can't be right...
It might not be fun but that was kinda the entire point of the ja to begin with. It's just been broken most the time
At least Last Resort isn't total suicide like Counterstance is atm. Counterstance isn't even worth using atm due to mobs doing at minimum 450+ dmg per hit.
EDIT: Just finished my first Skirmish run, too.
Cirdas Head 2, Torso 1 and Feet 1
Had 30min to kill 50 mobs for first objective, then it was kill all remaining (55 total).
Bow, Dagger, individual pools were rhodium ingots, Geomancy plates and stones.
Did a run too with Cirdas Visage II, Faithful's Torso I, and Faithful's Legging IV.
When we went up to the glowing things that gave buffs, I clicked Bayld and got about 6.8k Bayld just for clicking it iirc.
I disagree. I've had no real problems riding Counterstance through Neo Salvage. Most of the tougher stuff around is capping attack on you whether you use it or not.
Edit: Or not? I dunno, fodder hits me for more, bosses hit me for about the same (except the hydras, which not get shots in for 900+). Oh well.
I highly doubt that mobs are capping attack on you without Counterstance in Neo Salvage. This implies they have over 2000 attack.
That's a really, really uninformed thing to say. <_<
Not saying not to use it, but your assessment is beyond incorrect even for the old ratio cap. Khimaira boss has about 800.
best part is when ur dying, your catas missed
doesnt happen always but when it happens, it happens all the time!!!
Pretty much this. It may as well have 'Accuracy directly proportional to HP %' as a modifier!
I'll probably stop farming stuff on DRK. I find myself barely using LR which makes for slow kills and it's not even much safer anyway, you still find yourself dying to random BS at times and find yourself at low HP a lot. It's just not remotely fun anymore which was pretty much what Apoc had going for it.
for people who done skirmish(es) objective is random right? and also always drop 2 weapons with visage II and above?(havent seen anyone repoet their loot with visage Is)
also is it possible for a rng to wide scan in (U) zones? sorry i havent play rng since forever so idk if you can scan w/o a map...
Rala seems to always have kill NMs and Cirda enemies, the amount varies with what Torso you use. Torso is also time, area size and amount of rewards. So it will most likely set the difficulty of the Skirmish.
You get a map from Noetic Ascensions, I think one person get's one per Noetic you touch. You can then proceed to Wide Scan. Noetic Ascensions and the type of buffs they have are different depending on what type of legs you have in the Simulacrum.
Visage will determinate area and quality of drops.
Our run on the previous page, kind of debunks that, unless you mean a possible chance at less than 2 weapons? We went in with a Cidras Visage I, and got 3 weapons. Granted, we did complete both objectives.
In the explanatory dev notes for the Attack/Defense change, SE said they were removing the mob attack portion of level correction everywhere. They didn't say anything in the patch notes about it, but if they hadn't removed it, melees would be taking far more damage on higher level mobs than they are. From what I've noticed on non-Adoulin mobs, players only take more damage than prepatch (other than mob crits) against higher level mobs if they lack protect or have a defense down effect on, like SE intended.
