I've gotten 5 pieces total so far split over 3 characters. One of those hasn't gotten shit yet. All I do is H.E.L.M. and empty rala farm pyres. I have each piece of skill armor for helm'ing as well as both logging ki's and 1/2 mining ki's. I always go with lonis....spend a minimum 8 hours a day trying. Hope that helps.
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Spoiler: show
Ok so...the one above, I was doing Patrol: Sih Gates, killed 4 Twitheryms, 1 craklaw (waiting on repop), then killed another Twitherym for #5, then killed one more for shits n giggles. Legs I pyre spawns. I turned in my op, picked up anoter, came back...did the very same thing (4 Twitheryms, 1 Craklaw, then 2 more Twitheryms that repop in the tunnel).
It definitely has NOT been an hour. Also, is it possible that SE eased up in the Pyre tolerance for Skirmish items? What are the odds both were a .0 on direction and directly on a directional front (first one was exactly 0.5 East, this one was exactly 3.0 North), when its been known that Skirmish items want precision?
haha nice XD
is that a plugin ur using?
I'm not aware of any plugins on that screen? You mean find?
Looks like he's just saying it to me, though I think there is someone working on a heading plugin.
Yeah, I was taking notes in pt chat...friend wants coordinate results, to help figure out a way pin down opening these things.
i'll start paying attention to the coordinates as well.
So I decided to tough it out for hours to see how long items took to repop since Moh, Sih, Cirdas and Rala were all 'down'. Spent about 6 hours in Rala before I got a Torso. There were others in the zone though so I could have been outclaimed so to say.
I did notice something kinda strange. At first I got lots of other Green Pyres with useless junk in (Logs/Grass/etc). However I never got a repeat of anything and then there was a long stretch of maybe 2-3 hours where I got nothing but Bayld. I was still getting plenty of Pyres but they were never green. The next item I got after that was Torso. So I'm thinking that the other junky items can go on cooldown too like the Skirmish parts.
So maybe another sign of the next item being a Skirmish part is if you have a long stretch of Bayld only pyres. Of course it could have just been coincidence but it just seemed off to me.
For those trying to determine the best way to open pyres, in case it hasn't happened to you yet--and I don't remember seeing it mentioned here yet--you can get > 100% distortion. I got 105% yesterday. One of the things we should determine is the highest possible distortion. I'd ask everyone to post the highest they've seen, but that would clutter this thread. Should we should start a "soul pyres findings" thread?
I would guess that would be covered in this thread

yesterday i farm 2-3 hrs, greenless, and then get a moko grass ; ; there are other cleaver in zone tho.... everyone coming into rala idk why to cleave >.>
however i had nothing to do so i continue cleaving and strange enough the next one netted a torso II so i can finally go to bed after a shitty day......
woke up this morning and decided cleaved in moh gates, 3 other miners in zone only, and first green pyre popped on first mob and got cirdas visage III O_O.
glad luck is back after the sleep >.>
edit: rested 3 hrs, lunch/salvage etc and went back in to cleave. first cleave got rala visage I :D
also rala visage II, body I, leg I run
as usual 6 + 2 NM but we didnt get the 2nd ascesion...... popped in a wierd place. dorped nuking staff and 1H-axe (fu)
and i heard people saying only using leg II and above have maps? true?
Not sure if posted or if it's for certain but from personal experience and talking with people it seems the lvl of the part you can get from assignments is based on the number of imps used. Ie use 1 get lvl 1 etc. But odds of getting one probably around the samish. Anyone else see a pattern like that?
I got a II with 3 tags, so that doesn't seem like it'd be definitive
number of noetic acension comes from legs. Legs II give 2 ascensions. From the sqirmish info on OF:
Head= zone and quality
body=size/timer/number of mob/number of reward
leg=number of scension and type of ascension.
My first run had legsI and I'm pretty sure we hadn't map.
In case anyone hadn't noticed, Soul Spectacles are muleable. Get a mule to Adoulin, get bayld doing in-town quests, get mummers medals with that bayld rather than your main's. Maybe even get a simulacrum piece doing easy imprimatur stuff.
pay 1m for the ticket to adoulin? is there a lvl limit?
