wanna-be house-husband checking in. i like my job but i like puttering around doing household stuff more. i wouldn't wanna take it as far as these asshats do, of course, but being the homemaker in a healthy relationship seems fucking nice.
I've done it (was also working from home at the time) just wanted to see who would take that deal.
Of course what this guy is saying is that women aspiring to do more are the result of galaxy-destroying feminism.

There was life on Mars once but then they discovered feminism.
Science.
Yeah, I'd be a house husband in damn heartbeat.
Are these house husbands assuming long-term childless status or are they taking care of the kids in this deal?

Taking care of kids in the deal. It's way better of a life than being a wage slave working in a cube in my opinion. At the same time I can understand women raging against the position in life because they were basically designated to be there no matter what.
I enjoy the work I do and would give up a stay-at-home life for it.
would take kids with the deal. but i have the choice, and i think women should too. not agreeing with the asshat's politics or anything.
Different strokes I guess.
I am not bringing kids into this sick world
Housband is the technical term. I loved being a housband and my wife misses it, but doubling our take-home is nice too.
Kids are exhausting but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Problem is not that one parent or the other wants to stay at home, it's that society doesn't make it financially feasible.
Exactly this. Also this last year I have spent a lot of time working from home while simultaneously taking care of my almost 6 year old and my 1 year old. That is tough. On days when I don't have to work and I am only taking care of them it is usually great. Though with the two of them I don't always get as much house work done as I would like.
If it was financially feasible for my wife to work and me to stay home I am sure that is what we would be doing.
I did it for about 6 months and loved it specifically because of the extra time with my daughter. She was 2 at the time. If I could do it again fuck yeah. They grow up way too fast and I eternally feel like I can't get enough time with her.
Mind you, I was the very last person amongst my friends that anyone thought would ever have a kid. I was the first, and my life is 100% all about her. Like, I really can't get enough. That's because my daughter is the smartest, most beautiful, perfect kid on the planet. True story.
