It doesn't sound as insane put into the context in which it was used if you follow HIS logic.

He's just trying to support eliminating exemptions for abortion in rape and incest cases. In classic politician fashion he took an arguably justifiable reason to back his cause "hey there are people who were born of rape and incest that I'm sure are thankful they weren't aborted," stuffed it in a blender of "the entire human race should be thankful," then stuffed that into a cannon "we gotta get the world's attention boys," then shot out "rape and incest is good because we'd be extinct without it."

I can see how and why he got here, and it just makes it that much worse.

There should be some sort of IQ test to be in office.

that's a long standing republican thing. the reason X happens is because dudes bail on their kids. it's often overtly racist and pointed at black folks.
